Returning ...again!

Hey, I'm Tammy and I have not posted in here for some time, but I have continued to go off and on the fitness wagon even though I was not checking in. I am involved with another private online group who is really hard core. (www.poynterfitness.com) and they do not really believe in tracking because there is a specific program to follow. But I just like to see my results in black and white. It helps keep me motivated.
I was doing great...lost 20lbs and 4% body fat in about 3 months, but then I got sick and wasn't permitted to do any weight bearing exercise for about 4 months. But I am back and looking for motivation from all the sources I can find.
I really hate cardio, so I have decided to buy a heavy bag and get my cardio in that way instead of treadmills etc. I love weight lifting and wish I had a spotter so I could safely push myself outside of my comfort level, but I don't.
I'm not all that good at this yet, but I am trying and learning...and I am striving to make this the year that I can look back at and say...that's when my life changed for the better.
Feel free to message me if you want to talk or share ideas and challenges. I welcome all of it.

Hey Tammy!
Great to meet you and kudos for getting back on here to see your results. I know what you mean. I am motivated by seeing that ticker move and also being able to check in with my new and smaller measurements. Good for you!
Am excited to be friends. Last year I started the Tracy Anderson program and was super gung ho for about 3 months and then suffered a few injuries from her dance cardio and doing it 6x a week and also from Bikram Yoga. Then I got the flu which turned into bronchitis and well, there went another month! Then I went to Bikram Yoga and over twisted my wrist, which I'm actually still healing from,so there went another couple of weeks. And each time, the weight kept on creeping back on and I got so unmotivated. Well, my most recent discovery was that I had calculated my whole TDEE about 4 or 5 months ago but misread the post and was eating back my exercise calories when I wasn't supposed to so I was inadvertently eating too many calories which also didn't help. Anyhow, as of early this week I figured out my new goals and I have been mixing up my dance cardio (because I love dancing!) so that I won't have injuries like before and no more obstacles!
Excited to root you on and hopefully to see my results happen soon too and to keep coming, LOL! Again, glad to meet you and here's to our continued success!

Hey! I'm back as well. I have a bad attitude towards losing weight but I know that I want for the better. I sometimes don't know what to do...but I look at the goals better.0

Hi Heidi. Thanks for the welcome, and I look forward to talking with you more. There is some comfort in knowing that your own setbacks are not yours alone. We all have them and we can't see past them sometimes, when in fact, we are not really so bad off. At least we are here, right?
I must need to change my settings or something because on my Android it wouldn't allow me to open the comments. Also, it didn't sync my meal entries that I made on my phone. I hate waiting until I can physically get on my laptop, but I will do so if needed to support my new friends and to track my progress.
I'll tell you what...today is my birthday, and I ate a couple of Reese's miniatures....and had no idea how it impacted my day in fat and calories. That is why this is a good tool. It is such an eye opener. I won't do that again!!! I didn't have any cake or any other junk, so I thought it was no big deal. wow was i wrong. 5 miniatures = 223 cal and like 13 fat or something crazy. Oh well, happy birthday to me. Now I'm having water to wash it away .
I'm not familiar with the yoga you do. In fact, I never have done yoga but would love to. I am 48 and need to be limber and toned. I do weights mostly but I need to gain that flexibility also.
Talk soon...have a great day.0
