I don't mean to be the naysayer of the group, but isn't 15lbs in 6 weeks a tad excessive? If MFP has some of us set up to lose 2lbs per week, that's a total of 12lbs or 6 to 9lbs for those that are on a 1lb or 1.5lb loss per week. Don't get me wrong, I'm up for the challenge and it seems to be just what I need to get motivated, but I'm just wondering if we're setting ourselves up to fail! Oops, I said the F-word  Sorry, just trying to be a little realistic.
I don't think there's really any chance that i'll lose 15 unless I took unhealthy measures. (Especially since i'm down to my last 15 pounds anyways, the last pounds seem to be the hardest to lose.) However, i'll just be happy to shake things up a bit and break this hovering around 156-158 for the last two months cycle. I do think for people with more to lose, 15 pounds is doable in 6 weeks.0 -
Here we go! Glad to have found a motivated group - I need all the help i can get!

My overall weight loss goal is 40lbs, and if I can do 15lbs in 6 weeks, then that would be a huge loss for me, but I'm going to do everything to succeed in the challenge and I will be aiming for a 15lb loss, but if I don't make it, I'll be okay with what I do accomplish. Thanks and the best of luck to you, me and everyone else doing the challenge!0 -

Hi Everyone,
I was excited to see this posting and join in. My goal is not the 15, but a personal goal of 12 pounds based on doctors recommendation of 2 lbs/ week. Any additional will be nice as long as I am following the healthy guidelines we have agreed on to meet my physical and nutritional needs.

Watch your mouth! There is no failing in this challenge. 2.5 pounds per week isn't an unhealthy or unrealistic goal, but it may not work for everyone. Everyone loses weight differently. That is OKAY. The point of this challenge is to aim for the 15 pound goal, motivat each other and do the very best we can. Even if you lose 5-10 pounds that is a total win, not a fail.0
