Dancing

Does anyone else dance for any part of their fitness routine? I typically take 2 belly dance and 2 ballet classes a week. These are actual dance classes, not at a gym.

    I do salsa. Have received various calorie estimates, I figure 10 dances counts as 35 mins of exercise roughly, so I count it as 350 calories but probably its more than this since I'm walking around between dances.

    I do!! Dancing is all I have ever known, and is a great addition to my exercise!

    Dancing is a big part of my physical routine. Usually dance about 12 hours per week. Ballroom (Waltz, Foxtrot, Hustle, Salsa, Quickstep, Tango, Swing, Cha Cha, Merengue, Samba). I teach a little too.

    Dancing is an excellent exercise program and if doing ballroom dances, they are much more challenging than other "sports" like fishing and bowling.
