I joined WW in feb 2012 and have only lost 9 lbs. i stay on program but as of yet have not increased or even added exercise due to a bum knee. I am 49 so i know menopause also is playing havoc with my weight loss. after easter when i weighed in the scale showed i had gained 7 lbs...i was in tears and stayed after my meeting to talk with my leader. she suggested eating higher protein and she allowed me to go down 5 points on my food intake since i was having a hard time getting in all the food i was supposed to eat.
i have lost weight every weigh in since but they are such small losses (and i am grateful i'm losing) just wish the numbers were a bit bigger.
it there any low inpact exercises anyone can recommend to someone (me) that has a bad knee? i'm hoping the knee pain goes away as i lose but i won't know anytime soon it looks like.

Resistance (weights, etc.) will increase your metabolism and is much better for you than cardio. Are you able to do elliptical? If so go slow but crank up the resistance as far as you can. I can't do the treadmill because of my knee but the elliptical doesn't seem to bother it as much.0

Swimming helps me a lot. I'm 48 years old and I have severe arthritis in my right knee. I know that it's counter-intuitive, but the more I move, the more I'm able to move. I also have a stationary bicycle that I use but I have to be really careful with that one. There are times, like this week, when I'm really not able to do a whole lot of exercise due to my knee flaring up. But getting in the pool really helps, even if my knee is hurting. Just taking the weight off my joints and moving around in the water helps. I'm on WW as well although I only do online.0
