I feel like I NEED to exercise but am sorta sick with the flu! I have NOT had two days in a row off from exercise since June!! I ate alot of calories for lunch (not bas things) so I do not have many for tonites dinner. Maybe I will go treadmill walk but then I will start a coughing fit so maybe i won't!! I think I will just get well and forget about eating and burning calories! Hope you all are having a good week!

Hello ladies. Long day. Started it out going to the doc office. New doctor. I am hoping for some solutions to my medical issues this time around. And I am so glad I decided to go in fasting because they were able to take blood for tests that need fasting. I should hear back from her tomorrow to see what my iron and b12 levels are along with cholesterol, etc.
After that I was in my son's class for the afternoon. We have been having temps in the teens and 20's. These poor 5 and 6 yr olds are crazy from being stuck inside their houses! I felt like I was going to lose my mind after 2 1/2 hours.
The eating has been ok but the exercise has just not been happening. Need that to change!!!!0 -
Hi Sixers!! While I sit here with my blankie and kleenix I was wondering what everbody has for weather? Where I am in Montana we do not have much snow BUT it was -20, yes I said -20 below zero this morning with just a little wind it was VERY cold! No I will NOT be doing any running outside for my fitness!!! Hope you ALL are warmer than we are!! Good night!!!

Well, up from the other day, which makes me kind of sad, but hopefully that just means its water and too much salt, etc. so it will drop off easier. we shall see!!
Just rocked out 4 pages of my team paper in 2 hours. Wish i could do that when i was working on a paper that was just for me!!! haha.

I didn't have the best day food wise, so I'm using the song that inspired me through the bar exam to get me back on track. As a warning, I'm not the least bit sappy or sentimental, so it's a pretty quirky rock song with a lot of guitar. So, if anyone else is having a rough day, juts remember to "be like the squirrel." quick check in for me. what a night. son called with a blown tire, here it is almost 8. he limps to my house. no spare. so in shower he goes and clothes in the washer. fed him, put him on the couch and DH gets up at 5 to take him to work. so figure i would get up and get in a run and shower before roofers get here. will have to run to pick up son from work no biggie. he works 1 1/2 miles from us. he could walk home for that matter. but, he won't. than need to find a place for a tire and he can get it fix. and he is broke. so mommy is paying. mommy is broke too. tomorrow is payday.
well, back later when the noise gets bad and i am killing time.

The six week resolution made me think about what other mini-goals I could set for myself. I've always wanted to do the 100 pushup challenge, but never have. In looking it up this morning, I found it is SIX WEEKS long. So I've convinced my daughter and son to give it a try with me. Good way to build muscle and endurance on young people using just their own resistance without damaging ligaments and muscles.

i had to stop to get a shower before roofers get here. knee is killing me, but, that will pass. push through the pain. i didn't realize how much i missed it. i hadn't done it for long or for long run periods. but, it felt good. yea......that lovin feelin.....
lula.....my goal for this challenge is to just be better at the whole life changing thing. a little here and there. example. this week just getting it together. next week, bump up the speed on treadmill a little. cut out another not really good for me on daily basis eat.(ice cream) stuff like that.

verda...sure hope you get to feeling better. i found when i quit smoking i hardly ever get sick any more. shouldn't have said anything not. as for our weather. had been in the low 50s yesterday in the high 70s. today suppose to be 53 and than 49/47 for the weekend. now if that don't get you sick.....
pdx...good luck with the new doc. i know i want to start looking for a new one. mine tells me now that all the meds i am is why i am healthier. what. i thought i was losing this weight and exercising to get off the meds. i have a 3 month check up on the 21st i want to see what the blood work shows and if numbers are still good, and he says no again. i will change doctors. been having pain the gallbladder area lately. he better find out why. that's the last thing i need is an infection of some sort.

I'm up a lot of pounds. I haven't weighed in but I wasn't able to comfortably button a pair of work pants this morning. That is not good. I'm not sure why I'm eating like I am -- I am emotionally binging at nights --- but I need to invest some time into figuring this out.

Good morning. Well I haven't checked in for a little while. Just been feeling blah. Week before Aunt Flow comes to town is never a good one. I just want to eat everything that is fried and salty. My favorite comfort food! I have yet to indulge, so that is a plus. Before I would have just went to Burger King and gotten my fix. So there is progress being made but I have not been working out. Just wanting to sleep and to keep the crazy in check for the week. On a more positive note, I have found out that I no longer like the taste of regular soda. I was the type of person before who absolutely would not drink diet soda. Nope. It was horrible. Now though I actually perfer it to regular. I tried to drink a regular Pepsi yesturday and actually ended up dumping it out. I am just going with the small wins right now. So I am going to consider this a win! I hope everyone is having a good day!0

Morning gals! Quickly checking in...so busy at work since we were snowed in yesterday! We got about 16 inches of snow! CRAZY! And with the wind, we had 5 foot snow drifts!
Workouts have not been as planned due to the weather, plus Kadence has a cold and has been quite fussy! But I think I've been doing okay. We'll see with weigh-in next week!

I have only eaten my breakfast bar, drank my coffee, had my Lean Cuisine for lunch with a diet soda and am drinking my diet green tea now. So far, so good. I'm taking this hour by hour now.0 -
Hi friends ... I'm actually taking a quick break here at work ... It's still way too busy but I'm going to burn out if I don't watch it. So I went to the Doctor's last week because I was sooo sleepy all the time, and I'm always cold (especially my hands and feet), and my joints hurt, and my skin was dry, and my nails were splitting (and they're usually so strong), and my hair was thinning a lot (chunks coming out in the shower ... scary stuff). They did some blood tests and it turns out my iron is very low ... thank goodness it's something that can be fixed with diet and supplements. My vitamin D is also pretty low ... I asked for a prescription for a trip to Hawaii since there's so much vitamin D in the sun but they said no to that ... so I'll have to take supplements for that too. I'm so relieved that it isn't something more serious. Hopefully it won't take too long to get things back to normal. I hope all is well with you.0

maggie my vit. D levels were low too i just take caltrate twice a day. big difference in my nails too.
what a day. so much drama with the roof. won't bore ya. they will be back tomorrow. i am running some errands in the morning. i am so tired and hungry and cold. just finished dinner so the hunger should go away soon. fire was doing good now going out again.

Verda- Hope you feel better, breaks when you are sick are totally allowed and its a great time to try some yoga. AND 20 BELOW is craziness. I would shrink and die. You are braver than I am. I'm also sure I would be wearing a huge FAT body suit on my body, extra pounds in the winter if that's how Va weather was. LOL
Lauryn- Glad mini steps are helping. You ate well today
Cathy- Yes we are rehab and we love to hear from you. Glad you are doing well despite lifes situations. YAY
As for me.... I went and got my nails done today at a nail school and I enjoyed it. Took longer but WAY cheaper and I enjoyed sitting there. I'm going to a class today at the gym at 8pm that is supposed to be their best one. WE WILL SEE. LOL

Hello! I stayed within my calories today, and only ate a little junk food. :-) I've been experimenting with holiday baking and trying new things and I've kept the vast majority of it out of my mouth. Small victories. Today I definitely ate some of my goodies though - but I counted the calories. I made a batch of homemade vanilla marshmallows, swirled in some chocolate chips, and rolled them in crushed graham crackers. I call them S'moresmallows! It's definitely what I'm taking to my grandparents' house for Christmas, so I guess I can stop my experimental baking now.
I want to get back into doing the walking routines on tv. I definitely feel a lot better and thinner when I'm working out. Even though I did fine on calories today, I just feel fatter. I'm sure it will all even out. It would probably help if I drank more water.
Well, I hope everyone is having a good day! My apartment is about half decorated for Christmas, and I'm about to go finish the other half.

I fell off the wagon about two days ago (emotional eater), and have absolutely NO energy to get back on. No desire. No inclination. And of course, the worse I feel about myself, the less inclined I am to make it right. The hilarious thing is last week, when I was doing so good, the scale was going down, I was a much happier person. Now I won't even step on the scale because if my bloated gut is any indication, I'm scared.
So, this is me kicking me in the buttocks. Here is to a hard day of staying on the wagon and a long weekend, but hopefully a happier weigh in on Tuesday.

I didn't weight in yet, so I just put my info from what I had last. I know I am up a few pounds...somebody kept shoving food down my throat. Psh. What were they thinking!
I will weight in tomorrow, or maybe this coming Tuesday just to start from there. I really need to get back on track. After the wedding I have pretty much said screw it!
I got H1N1 and lost a bit of weight but gained it all back because I kept eating pretty much whatever I wanted. Been eating out a lot lately.
Time to step it back up and start fresh!
Ran into Tito Ortiz and Jenna Jameson tonight at Babies R Us....she had twins this year and she looks like a stick. WTH!

lula.....ok, hun, tough love time....take it from me i stopped when life got tough. you have to tougher on yourself at those times.
EVERYONE..........i too am struggling along right now. this is life. these things aren't going anywhere. first off i don't want to run this morning. but, i tell myself it's only 30 mins, and i feel so much better when i do. it helps get me through the day knowing i exercised and not thinking i STILL have to get in some exercise. cause something always happens. you can do this. just bring back one thing at a time. "remember that lovin feeling" ok singing along with me. get up and get find yourself again. remember when you lay your head on your pillow be proud of any small accomplishment you did that day. as dr. phil says "get excited about your life again". don't look back there nothing you can do about yesterdays.
my day today is hectic again. roofers coming back at 8:30/9. i need to get in my run, shower, and take son to bank, than back home, than take him to tire store, than back home. i hope that's it for the day. that just wears me out. oh, yea, gotta pay bills today too.

Almost done work. Going to wake my daughter up, get her to school. Then Goodwill for some "junk books" to keep my brain nice and fuzzy, to the gym for a dance class. Need to see a doctor or clnician sometime today. This cough/wheezing hasn't gone away in close to 2 weeks. Of course as soon as I go, I'll probably be told that I'm at the end stage of it. Of course, that is what I've been telling myself for the past week, so might as well bite the bullet. My 7-year-old son has his physical today. Three shots (one H1N1, one regular flu, and second Hep A vaccine). He's not thrilled, but a great sport. And hey, he gets out of school early.

love ya lula. i am going to call you lula, it think it's cute. i like it. yup i get tired just typing it. i just finished my 30 min walk/jog. jogged more today. been working up to running that mile i got to and than quit. sitting here while son is getting his tires ready, eating my oatmeal and having a cup of coffee. than off to shower and begin. gosh once again that run felt so good. maybe tomorrow i will try to run longer.
YEA you are doing a dance class tonight. great job. hope it feels good. well, son just came in so better get my butt in gear. yes, i can't wait until he has wheels again, and can go home. funny how you get use to your privacy when they leave home. but, you love them anyway.

I am in the Niagara Region in Ontario and we haven't had any snow until the last couple of days and even then it hardly covers the ground at all. It has been extremely windy though and tonight is when we are supposed to get dumped on with a thick blanket of the icky white stuff. I hate winter...lol.

ok, now i am very angry and upset. if momma ain't happy ain't no body happy.
i ran my errands and come home....NO roofers, no one has been here. i called the landlord and he calls me back and says they didn't want to start it and starts to rain, so it will be monday. WHAT!!!!!!! ok, this is beginning to be BS. now if monday comes and still no roofers someone better have better reasons why. they are inconnvienceing me now. so next week runs like any other week. i will do as i want and see fit. if i park my car in what's left of my driveway they can survive it. i have plywood sitting in the yard, a large trailer with shingles on it. tarpaper rolls (11) all in the front yard. so if it's stolen, not my fault. but, in a way when the storm comes in if my roof leaks, i guess i call the landlord no matter what time day or night. the only thing on the peak right now is tar paper. and if the storm is as bad as the roofers say is coming in, we shall see. someone will be paying for my hotel, or what ever.pisses me off bad.....the chips are calling. i didn't sit down with the bag with my sandwich. i put some on my plate, i didn't weigh, better than the whole bag.
well, gotta pay bills

Chipper, you said Landlord? It's a rental property they are repairing? If that is the case, then it's the LANDLORD's responsibility to be there for the repairs as it is that person's property. It is a true kindness on your part to have rearranged your week to help the LANDLORD out. And if they don't get it repaired in a timely fashion, then you have reason for a real beef against the landlord. Now, maybe you like the guy and not really looking to cause him grief. But legally it's not your responsibility since you do not get the benefits of actually owning the house. Now it could be possible that I haven't far enough back to get the whole story, in which case this little rant of mine was for naught
I think mentally I have given up on losing weight. I know it's not reasonable, but I am 6 lb higher than I was last week, and feel every single jelly roll pound of it. :explode: :explode: :explode: Need to change my mode of thinking. Starting my morning with my coffee, but have actually drank more of my water than coffee so far. Maybe I'm just dehydrated. Oh well, new day. MUST MAKE BETTER CHOICES!!!!

good morning gals....
lula....yup, kindness of my heart, and it's my stuff in the house and dogs locked up. LOL. i have a wet soft ceiling area. i was/am afraid someone might step and fall through. it's a modular home so they can go under the roof. they had to to fix the peak/marriage line. it wasn't put together right when first put here. i am just the type of person who when you say your going to be there at a certain time, be there. i think because that's the way i am. plus, i am a super organized person, i don't like having all this crap in my yard and the van sitting at a angle is really driving me crazy LOL LOL. it can't be moved again. they had to tow it there. i just finished my real estate class and got my license. by law here i had to tell him. since i did he has been really nice to me and making sure i know that he will fix any of my problems. doen't matter he should anyway. i think he won't talk back to the roofers. today i am writing everything down when it happened and all that. cause i have a feeling when monday comes they will put it off again. right now we won't have 2/3 days rain free until later next week. another thing, i can't put up my Christmas decor outside. oh, well.
i am just complaining. i think it's poor customer service from the roofers, and the landlord doesn't want to stand up to them. for $6,000 i would be standing up to them for sure.
i too am having a hard time losing. i ran 4 days this week. was close to or under cals all week and gained a pound. doctor is going to here about this when i see him in 2 weeks. it's either the new meds or the gallbladder both happened at the same time frame. i just keep plugging away at it.
well, need to bath the stinking puppy and get my grocercy coupon list ready.

i am here and still hanging in by the skin of my teeth. yesterday i ate and ate. but, today is a new day and i am backkkkk.
going to the town parade in the rain. granddaughter in it. other than that just laundry and cleaning up the house. found out friday that DH will be off from dec 23 to jan 4 :noway: with pay. the company decided to close down and let everyone have a breather and refresh for the new year. long story short, the owner just made a killing selling another part of the business last month.
well off to internet surf and than start laundry.

Chipper, I love your name. Reminds me of a spry, happy person. And by most of your posts, definitely a busy one. I'm with you on the eating EVERYTHING yesterday. Must have self-control. Going to be a rough couple of months for me, so this will be where I can learn if I have what it takes to really exercise self-control. And awesome about your hubby getting paid vacation. Woohoo. I'm envious
Well, I need to finish up work this morning, get family together as we are going out teaching the bible. We are those "annoying" Jehovah's Witnesses that knock on your door (trust me, we have our important reasons ). No worries though today unless you are Spanish speaking. Then you can hide Then home for some fun times, then our bible meeting at 3:30 p.m. Kids go to "other father's" house tonight, so hopefully a chance to catch my breath with my wonderful hubby before another crazy week starts.

Extremely cold with snow here in Montana, but this week is to get to 20 ABOVE zero yeah!!!
My eating has been horrible this week and with this chest cold I have only worked out once since last Sunday. I feel FAT and Guilty!
Well in the last two days I did get the gift shopping done, now to wrap them all!!!
