Exercise of course...

For me gym is great, but when Im rocking my squats and all the little boys are starring at me, YOU make me feel uncomfortable! Quit starring!

BUT, Since I dont have my own equipment at home, GYM IT IS!

Where do you exercise? Id love new ideas/routines, please discuss...

Ok NOW lets spice this *kitten* up!

i find the group classes (i take kickboxing classes) so much better, because everyone is so busy doing squats at the same time, you don't have time to look around.

Running... outside... hands down... but I don't have an aversion to the gym for other workouts or even a treadmill run when it's 108 outside. :)

I like to walk by the lake in the morning. Can't afford a gym membership atm, but I have some dumbbells at home that I use. When I want a more intense strength training session, I use the gym at school; although the variety of equipment is limited.

    I love it!
  • In the garden. There is nothing like an hour's bending, stretching, reaching and lifting to feel exercised and the garden is looking great. Nobody to stare, fresh air and some calories burned. Just strolling around with a trug full of flowers won't do it but the digging really works.

This is why I'm at the gym for cardio ONLY. I use free weights at home. The lift area is WAY too intimidating and I'm at that "Judgement Free" place.

Best place is on top of hubby. "Exercise for hours and love every minute of it". You do burn a lot of calories, pushups, situps, squats.....

    Outdoors.

I run 3-4x per week outdoors on the open road...rain, snow or shine.....

    I also do a strength/calisthenics training 3-4x a week in my bedroom.

I just started a strength program and I am most certainly in the beginner category in the lift section.... wish more ladies were lifting. So much testosterone gets to be intimidating!

Heh, honestly tho. I think it is important to find activities that you like to do for fun throughout the day, go for a walk or hike, take a bike ride, go dancing. Challenge yourself to a fitness style drinking game (Example,"While watching True Blood every time Bill Compton says "Sookie!" in his over the top southern drawl, do 10 jumping jacks.").

I work out at home a lot, with work out videos or on my treadmill mostly but I play more than I work out.

  • I prefer the great outdoors but love the gym. I don't push myself at home so it's my least favorite place to work out. Although there are some exercises you can do at home with the hubby that make any exercising fun.

Yeah, this is glorious. I enjoy hitting my stride as the sun is coming up.. Nothing beats it. Though recently, I've been taking a spin class, so the local Y is my new hang-out.
