Why are there KFC advertisements on MFP???

    Site is free but it's certainly not free to run a website and keep it up and running. Advertisers pay the bills.

    I understand that but they can choose who's ads are put on the site - kfc, weight loss additives etc souldn't be posted on here they have plenty of other ads that are fine -exercise programs, makeup, etc....

    I think that (depending on browser you use) your searches, emails, sites open and general information on the page you have open triggers what ads show up. For example I was just looking at lists of books available on another tab and I have a kindle fire Ad to the right at this moment.

    So if words like fitness, food, exercise are on the page your are looking at, advertisers have bought space to show their ads when those key words show up. Thus, Sensa, diet ads etc...

    At least that is what I understand it's based on.
