Macros and precision - how important is it REALLY?

So, lets say, hypothetically, I wanted to eat something that kept me within calories, within carbs and within protein BUT - it took me over on fat. does that really matter?

Is 3 out of four measurements OK or would I be better off being under calories for the day and within fat?

In my view, its the difference between climate and weather. Day to day fluctuations are the norm, but the longer term average is probably what counts. I look at my averages for the week.

For weight loss, calories is all you need to worry about. The rest are more for satiety and overall health. You definitely don't need to micromanage it all on a daily basis.
