1 serving of the soup = 60 calories + 890 grams of sodium
Is it worth it in the long run?

Doesn't matter, because it tastes awful. Chicken noodle soup is SO easy to make, for less money, and with less sodium, more taste, and much better quality ingredients.0

I buy the Healthy Request Campbell's chicken noodle soup and it's like half the sodium. If you can't make your own, it's a better alternative IMO.0

Cook it at home, that's definitely worth it in the long run (and the short one, for chicken noodle soup is yummy).0

I quite honestly work a minimum wage job and don't have the money to make homemade things too often, though I try (vegetarian tortilla soup is AMAZING btw). I tried to find the lower sodium kind though, and the local stores didn't have it.0

I pre-fer progressive chicken noodle low sodium when I have to use a canned soup (prefer homemade) but if your water is in check sodium isn`t going hurt from one can of soup0

If you cook a big batch and freeze it in portions, you will save money.0 -
No. I still love it. I'd rather ditch it and go for Ramen sadly. Most likely worse in the sodium dept.0

BTW, lower sodium soup = tastes like water = not worth spending the money.0

That soup sounds good if it satisfies you. High sodium won't hurt you unless you already have health problems such as high blood pressure. Just make sure you're drinking your eight glasses of water or more each day.0

This.
A lot of people claim they lose weight very quickly after cutting sodium - this is not fat loss. Sodium causes water retention (especially if you aren't drinking enough calories). So when you cut sodium, you're simply cutting water weight. If you are having issues with bloating then yeah, consider it, but as far as fat loss it does not help nor hinder to have it in your life.
I would recommend drinking more than the minimum 8 glasses of water a day if you do have a high sodium or caffeine lifestyle. I drink 4 liters on average personally0 -

I'll second this. Just keep in mind that any weight reflected on the scale within the next two days is likely to just be water retention from the sodium, but drinking a lot of water throughout the day will help to flush the excess out. :flowerforyou:
I almost had Campbell's Double Chicken Noodle soup tonight, but I'm weighing tomorrow for another site and don't want to depress myself with the water weight.0
