NSV: I jogged a mile today!

Great job!! I'm on week 2 of C25K. I can run 2 miles without stopping on a treadmill, but I don't think I can make it a mile without stopping outside. Honestly, I'm just getting nervous about the 3 minute runs in week 3...
congratulations!0 -
Congrats!! That is so exciting.
I haven't hit that point yet - just doing jog/walk intervals. But slowly trying to jog for longer periods. So, I too totally "get it". I can't wait to be able to say the same thing.0 -

That's the way to do it! Good luck on your jogging journey!0 -
I know how you feel I jogged my first whole mile a few weeks ago! Its just a great feeling congrats!!!0

Well done.... wish I was as brave as you but jogging is not for me. Good luck too!0

Awesome job! Did you do c25k for 5 weeks straight?0

Fantastic! Well done. And it's amazing how much easier it is to go on to running the next mile. I remember it took me about 2 months to do my first mile non-stop, but then after another 2 months I could run 5 miles non-stop.
Just keep thinking I can do it and remember how well you've done and that will keep you going.0 -
Congrats on your first mile and cheers to many more! :drinker:0

Way To Go!!! Keep up the great job you're doing!!!0

CONGRATULATIONS
I remember when I finally ran my first mile, it was such an awesome, rewarding feeling!
You are doing GREAT! Keep it up!

Fantastic! I finished my first 5K last week (note I said _finished_ not ran, it was more of a walk) but I know the feeling you've got. You're inspiring me to push to jogging a whole mile. Keep up the great work, you should be very proud!0

That was me not too long ago. I remember thinking that I hadn't ran that far since little league where I failed to run out a base hit and touch the first base bag despite being clearly thrown out and had to do laps around the entire park. I'm 42 BTW.
You will get to the point where you run a mile just to warm up before your other carido/weight training. Congratulations!!
^^ Oh, yeah! That's a no-no! Always run it out!
To the OP, I am right behind you. I started C25K "officially" last night. I "trained" for Day 1 for a week first.
GREAT NSV! Thanks for sharing! *happy dancing* :flowerforyou:0 -
Congratulations! As a former hater of running, I still remember the sense of accomplishment the first time I willingly went out and ran a mile. Keep up the good work!0
