My knees are sore but today is my gym day.

I know jogging is a high impact workout and I've jogged before with no worries but, since Wednesday (I jogged around my neighbourhood for 30 mins) my knees have felt a little sore and made worse by jogging for 45 minutes yesterday on the treadmill. I tried to push through it at the time because I really wanted to get my cardio in but now it's uncomfortable going up stairs.

I have another gym day today and I don't plan on using the treadmill, probably the elliptical or the bike. Will I be okay using them at moderate intensity or should I rest my knees completely?

    I would take a rest day. It's not worth risking injury to try and get one more workout in. Take some ibuprofen, ice your knee and take it easy.
