Missing cat comes home

  • Oh that's excellent news! Two of my three miscreants are in my profile picture.

I second the suggestion to get kitty checked out by the vet. Also *highly* recommend a microchip if not already done.
He is going to the vet Monday morning. We are pretty sure that he got stuck in the storm drain on our block and how he survived is beyond me because he has lost half his body weight so I suppose cats really do have 9 lives. By the way, i love the pics of your babies, they are so CUTE!
  • I'm so happy for you. I know what it's like to have a lost pet. Doing a happy dance for ya!!
    Thank you so much!!

Glad you had a happy ending! I woke up with 2 cats and a small (100 lb) dog who had somehow crept into my bed last night without waking me up.. I would hate to not wake up to any of them..even if I couldn't get up without spending almost 15 minutes wiggling and pushing a soundly sleeping cat and dog off the bed first, I guess that was my morning exercise
  • Aww that is so nice! I had a similar thing happen to me with my 1 year old cat although he was only gone a week, it was still horrible though but he came back, skinny and terrified of everything, and also pooping/peeing everywhere.

ahhh what a lovely story.. i have 2 house cats and one escaped all night once, i was beside myself with worry as they are very nervous cats, hence house cats. Its an amazing feeling when you get them back.

    lovely happy ending :)

Yay! Such a happy story! Yesterday we had a welcome surprise of our own as we found our dog that had run away from doggy daycare after someone negligently left a latch open. I have never been more stressed out in my life than I have been these last few days! It's amazing when you find them again! what a relief!

I'm so happy your kitty returned, but kinda makes me sad. I had a cat that I absolutely loved. I went out of town for a weekend and when I came back, she was nowhere to be found. I looked for her for weeks, calling her name, walking around the neighborhood. Never found her. Ended up moving. Not sure how long after she disappeared that I moved. Makes me wonder if my poor little Treasure ever returned looking for me. :frown:

this doesn't have to do with any of my 3 kitties, but couple years ago, our puppy went missing for 2 days, we were beside ourselves. We finally found him, he had gotten out and one of the old gentlemen from across the street at the old person's home had taken him... And somehow hid him in there for 2 days because the workers found him.

My indoor cat went missing for 36 hours once due to a careless roommate, it was the most amazing thing when I went out the one morning calling her prior to going to work and I hear her meowing and she's running toward me.

My best friend, back in highschool, she and her mom had 4 cats. The one went missing and after months they figured she was gone, taken in by someone or something. ONE YEAR later she was sitting on their doorstep. She was in good health so somebody had to have been taking care of her but she made her way back home eventually.

yay!!! i'm so happy for you... i had a cat go missing for three weeks and finally came home. he was super skinny (he was a very fat cat when he left) and had very little voice. we took him to the vet right way, they said it was just malnutrition and dehydration..

it was so good to have him back, i'm sure you're beside yourself. congrats!
