the klutz has struck again

So I've decided to use the self cleaning thingy on my oven.
I wipe it out to get the loose crumbs. Remove the racks. Set to clean. Lock the oven door.
Within 15 minutes I go check on it and see FLAMES shooting a foot high thru the glass door.
I just sighed and walked away. Nothing I could do. Can't open the door to use the fire extinguisher. Oven has to be completely cooled, that takes at least an hour.
So now I get to scrape charred whatever that is out of the oven and do it again tomorrow.
