Should I be taking Vit D supplement? I take Multi, B-12 and selenium (for my thyroid) now. Do most women need extra D?
If so what is the norm that most take?

That's not a question anyone can answer for you. See your doctor, he can test your levels and advise properly.0

I actually need to get some bloodwork on this. I had some bloodwork last year and was deficient. My doctor literally prescribed 15 minutes of sunshine a day...0

def need sunshine to synthesize the vit D you have in your body.0

My vitamin D levels were waaay low when I went to the doctor. He told me to take Vitamin D supplements three times a day to build it back up. I need to start walking more to get some sunshine.0

Blood tests. Until you do that just a regular multi vitamin will do. It is supposed to have what you need daily. The real way to know what Vitamins you are deficient on is through your doctor.0

Although you can take a supplement, there are a few foods out there rich in Vit
many kinds of fish (tuna, salmon, catfish, herring, etc.), maitake mushrooms, eggs and milk with Vit D.
