What's the furthest you'd drive for a gym?

There is one right in my town so literally a 5 min drive but we live in a small town.
It's an older community center with older equipment.
To get to a newer modern facility, the drive is about 15 mins or so one way.
I have kids so I'm considering the local Y so they have kids programs too.
How far do you drive to work out?

I'd go to the new modern one it is probably better, I walk to my gym and its 30 mins away0

Im leaning towards it, I just dont want to not go because it's a drive ... especially in the winter
I'm hoping the kids programs at the Y will keep me motivated to take them, and therefore force me to go too lol
great incentive!0 -
I miss living in a city where I could just walk or ride my bike to the gym....now that I live in the sticks its about 20 - 25 minute drive to the gym, but totally worth it to me. its keeping me sane.0

oh and i like you....had one much closer that was all old and musty...not very inspiring.... and when i switched i was waaayyyy more excited about going to the gym, and ended up going much more often even though its further because the euiptment is so much better, more to do, swimming and jacuzzi, and the classes are fun and full of young people.0

Well, I live in Germany so it's a 15 minute drive to the one on the military post and it's free so the drive is worth it to me.0

It takes me about 20 minutes to get to my gym, about 13 miles.0

I just joined a gym and it's 16 miles away. If I hit it on the way home, it's right on the way so then it isn't so bad.0

Mine's on the way home from work and I still make excuses not to go. :P0

The gym I go to 98% of the time is 5 minutes from my house. Another location is 20 minutes from my house and I'm only willing to drive that far on the days the awesome zumba instructor is there!0

I live in a small town, there's nothing here. So yes, drive to the gym, especially with 2 small kids that need to come with me0 -
Our gym is 50 mins away.
Hubby used to have to drive 20 mins (from work to home) to pick me up then turn around, drive past work to get to the gym, so nearly 1 1/2 hours just to get there.
We only go once or twice a week, as the drive is sooooo long.
Did i mention that its a climbing gym? And this is the closest one to where we live. There are three that sre all between 50 and 70 mins from us0 -
I work out at home - so no driving here. For me, if I had a long drive - over time, I'd lose motivation to go. Also, I work out in the morning and wake up at 5:30am to do so - if I had to drive to a gym I'd have to get up that much earlier!0

No more than 5-10 miles. Mine is only 1.5 away.0

I go to our local YMCA it is about a 8-10 minute drive one way... I go 6 days a week...... I would drive there if it was 20-25 minutes away, The Y has so many choices from Weights, to Cardio equipment, to Swimming, Sauna, Steam rooms, worth the trip.....0

No more than 15 minutes. I'm lucky that I live in a big city and there are many around.0
