I hate my husband!

You did not "gain 8lbs" -- you would have had to eat an additional 7,000 calories per day, which it sounds like you did not. Give it time, I'm sure over the next few days, you will be back to what you were before the trip.
Lastly, WITH that being said, on average- are you sure you are eating enough??0 -
First off, I don't hate my hubby, lol. But I do hate the fact that he doesn't do any formal exercise and is naturally very muscular. Not to mention has a great butt too. Meanwhile, I've had to bust my behind day in and day out for the last 12 months to get where I am currently. So not fair. :laugh:0

Ya, mine never exercises and eats Chips Ahoy and Honey Buns all the time and still can't break 18% body fat. And he loses weight so fast! If he works overtime a couple days there goes 5 lbs like that!! I'm trying sooo hard to weigh the same as him but crap! Maybe I should make him some pie, Paula Deen style!!0
-
Me too. My man eats whatever he wants all day.
If he makes me a plate of food, he piles on the food!! I yell at him because he KNOWS how hard I have been working to lose weight and I count EVERY single thing I put in my mouth.
It's like he has no respect for me. I just finally told him he's not allowed to make me a plate of food anymore.
Yeah he piles on the food at home...well I do for him....in the ten years we have been together I can say He has made his own plate only when I haven't been home. Some will say that I shouldn't serve him like that...but I say he deserves it because he works his A*S off making sure I have a good life so I have no problems making that plate for him...he deserves to be served:)0 -
yep it sucks....I wanna know why if you eat a pound of chocolates you gain 5 pounds?? lmao0
-
Whatever fat you have on you attracts and holds water. Weigh again after 2-3 days of proper eating (and eliminating!).0
-
you didnt gain 8 pounds....the scale is a lying wh re.
you didn't even have to say anything...you have effing fizgig as your profile pic... that's just plain awesomeness...lol
HA...just frolicked in to say it isnt real weight gain...keep working hard...
This x0 -
Mine is the same way... he can stuff his face all day long and not gain a pound. Which is actually not a good thing because he wants to gain weight. I don't really compare our bodies/food intakes/whatever because we are totally different. I don't care that he needs to eat probably at least twice as much as I do. (And my calorie goal is set to 2250 lol) I eat as much as my body needs. That's all I really care about.
You should be happy that you have a muscular husband whether he has to work for it or not...0 -
My husband and I have a very similiar relationship. He can eat like a pig and loose weight. However, his cholesterol had been way high. He just burns off the calories, but it still isn't good for the veins. He used to go around telling people that while he is skinny, he is fat on the inside! This year my diet has turned into a family health change. I do not buy anymore junk food for anyone in the house. And for my skinny husband I have been buying him protein drinks so he can instead gain some healthy muscle mass, b/c with no junk food in the house he was loosing a lot of weight. So far his cholesterol has gone down 70 points and he has gained 7 healthy pounds. I was suprised to learn that his body required almost 3,000 calories a day just to keep it going, and I only need 1200. If he lived on my diet he would starve and if I lived on his, I would continue to be obese.0

He was a stay at home Dad for a while and ate junk and ramen and all sorts of crazy stuff and still didn't gain but a little body fat, which was still under 18. He has lost some body fat since going back to work though. His job is very physical.0 -
Lighten up folks! I am sure she is just exaggerating a little. How many of us know of someone close to us who loses weight very easily while we have to work so hard?
lmao ikr...OMG DON'T SAY HATE!!! really people if you look at my profile one of the first things I say is how i am very happy with my hubs...he is the *kitten*...lighten up , take a joke ;P0 -
You didn't gain eight pounds in one weekend.
Also, hate is a really strong word.
Its called SARCASM. its meant to be humorous. She didn't mean it maliciously.
but its nice to know that you're looking out for her husbands feelings. How sweet.0 -
I have the exact same husband!!
Now THIS could get good. *plants self on couch, eats popcorn*0 -
I think a lot of women have a similar problem. My b/f can pretty much eat what he wants. But he also realizes that he still needs the healthy stuff. I finally got him off of canned vegetables (UGH!)....he.eats lots of fiber and fresh fruit, too . So remind your husband that unless he starts now, one day he will notice that his belly is starting to grow a bit. He should start adding in some of that healthy stuff0

Come on now, don't every say you hate someone unless you really mean it. You're frustrated with him and jealous of him but you don't hate him. I know, I saw your post that said you're joking and it's just semantics but words still hurt...
Ok, off my soapbox.
Seriously, guys are kind of lucky because of the way their built, but don't be jealous, just enjoy the view! They've got more muscle mass than us and tend to be taller too, which naturally takes more calories to maintain so they get to eat more.
It might catch up to him. My hubs was super slim and buff when we got together but he's slowly softened over the years. Having a more sedentary job and drinking beer will do that to a fella.0 -

Yeah I eat between 1200-1700 a day.... 90% clean so a ton of lean meats, fruits, and veggies0 -
Its all about perception

I always have at least an 8-lb weight gain when I get back from camping. For me, it's all the beer! Gets me every time. Don't worry; the gain will drop in a few days.0

I took your soap box away! lol Nah he doesn't mind he hates me for things too...like I tend to be pretty good at speaking at/with groups of people, he on the other hand clams up. we have the personalities that we know we don't actually mean it...so it doesn't bother us...we laugh at each other for it. you by chance seen the movie magic mike?? yeah i ummmm enjoy the view...lol0 -
me.... same boat... exactly! I hear ya girl!0

It seem people are having a bit of a touchy Monday. I have to laugh, my hubby was the same way for a long time. Then he started working at a desk and has gained lots in the last few years. Still not large as he was 150 lbs at 6'3 but is bigger. Sometimes it's ok for the little things to feel unfair and it doesn't mean that she really hates him!0

I have the exact same husband!!
What?? lmao really well hell can you take him to the doctors this Friday?? I want to go to see a movie with my girlfriend instead...lol0 -
Not hijacking your post but a fast question ...
For people who don't get sarcasm get all butthurt n twisted about saying you hate your husband ..
I wonder what they would say if I told them my husband and I often sit up and talk about how we'd knock each other off and get away with it, what we'd do with each others bodies, etc.
Yeah, sarcasm is great for people who know what it is :bigsmile:0 -
I know you are being somewhat sarcastic, but it's always a head-scratcher for me when people complain about things "not being fair". What does fair have to do with it? We each have to work with the metabolisms and tendancies we are born with - to find what works for us. I have a very over-weight friend who suggested it was ALL about genetics. I really wanted to ask him to show me his workout logs for the past 10 years, to show me the number of times he had chosen 1 patty instead of 3 on his burger, etc.
I guess what I'm saying is, do what you have to do to reach your goals, comparing to others is always a lesson in frustration. Cheers!0 -

OMG!!! my husband and I do this too! I am going to bury him under my basement stairs, and he is going to dump me in the river!!! lmao0 -

Thanks, now I want some smores.
Anyways....I bet it's water weight from where you are in your cycle. Give it a few days and wiegh yourself again, I bet it will go down. Sometimes it sucks to be a woman. :grumble:0 -

No wonder the poor guy can't gain any weight. Two wives? Poor guy probably needs an IV drip occasionally just to keep his stamina up. Then there's all the extra honey do's. I really feel for him.0 -
THAT sucks!
Hopefully it's a lot of water weight? :flowerforyou:0
