Hi, so I am new to this, once did a diabetic diet and once a "points" based diet so have not really had to pay attention to fats, proteins, carbs etc..
I am on day 2 now and I am noticing that I am "over" on my protein intake and if that is a bad thing - 9 day 1 and -23 on my 2nd day
that sadly is only with 1 chicken breast and 2 eggs as main proteins, the rest is coming from the fruits and veggies and milk and cereal.
I have been hitting my fats & carbs under and calories, I was under 1 day and today I am on target. I an not sure if I am ok to be over on protein and under on fats and carbs?
any help is appreciated in understanding how it all works together
thanks

Over on protein and fiber is great! I eat low carb, low sugar (even naturals sugar as in fruit) and high in healthy fats and proteins. When you become a little more accustomed to MFP you can customize your own settings if you wish. Those goals at the bottom are guides ~ it all depends on the way you determine is right for you and your health needs.
There are a lot of opinions about the correct way to eat, exercise, etc. on MFP. You will find your own way. Just keep an open mind when reading the forum posts and do some research on your own.
Good luck on your journey!0 -

I try to get as much protein as possible. I have always heard that you stay full longer with protein. I am always over on my protein. I do try to stay within 100 calories of my goal each day. I always have 3 boiled eggs for breakfast and that has a ton of protein, plus a good meat source for dinner. If you are losing that's all that matters. I am going to start watching my sodium better. I ate a lot of processed foods over the weekend and I gained 3.5 lbs in 3 days. I am assuming it's water weight.0
