A 6!?!?!?!

I finally went shopping today after someone at work yesterday told me that my pants were falling off (which they were).
I was pretty excited to pick up some size 8's off the rack because I was in tight 12's back in August - and low and behold the 8's were too big!!!!!!!! I'm a size 6!!!!
I'm just thrilled and it just makes me wish I would have done it sooner. I feel so much healthier and my energy level is so much higher. Hooray for eating healthy!

wow, you went from a 12 to a six by only losing 19 pounds? that's unbelievable. maybe that's how much difference my weight loss will make. all my pants are falling off but i'm having them tailored (I live in korea and koreans are really small, so even their biggest sizes are too small for me still--shoes, bras, pants, everything). so i still have no idea what size i am.0

Congratulations!! That is such good news. I know what you mean when you say you wish you had started sooner. I've been counting my calories for just a week or two now, and my jeans are already starting to feel loose... I'm basically kicking myself in the butt for not doing this ages ago. I just kept eating ice cream and candy and french fries and miscellaneous other crap, thinking, "Oh, I'll start losing weight tomorrow, I want to enjoy this first." Well, tomorrow never comes!! I hate cliches, but it's true!
Enjoy those size 6's! You deserve them!0 -
That's great! i just started today actually. I am a size 12 and my goal is to be where you are at now!! I would love some tips on how you did it!! Thanks!!!0

Well, I used MFP religiously for the first 3 months. I did not cut to 1200 calories though, I calculated my BMR and used that (1476 was where I started). I usually ate about 3/4 of my exercise calories, but sometimes at them all. I work out about 3-4 times a week, however I know for me it was mostly the eating and not as much the exercise because I've exercised before and never saw the results. Good luck kendzora002 - you can totally do it!!0

I know how you feel. I grabbed a pair of jeans that I thought were JR 9's... nope they were a size 6.... It's amazing. It's such a great feeling. Keep up the good work.0

Great job!!!! I've lost 12lbs and I'm still in the same size. The jeans that i'm in right now are RIDICULOUSLY huge on me and I have to wear a belt but the next size smaller still wont button. WTF!!!!:sad:0

Wow - congrats!! I have had a similar experience as you. I have been exercising for years, but only with MFP have I regulated the calories going in. And now finally I'm seeing results. Tracking my water intake has made a big difference, too.
You have made an amazing transformation - good for you!! :flowerforyou: I'm not in 6's or 8's yet, but I'm happy to say my 10's are feeling comfortable (having started in 12's). Congrats!!0
