WTG - what an inspiring post! You mentioned that you're doing "sprint intervals"... can you briefly explain what your routine is?

Sending you many positive vibes and best wishes!

I had read from a lot of posters on MFP that a good way to gain speed and stamina is to run intervals.
I am able to jog for a couple miles but in order to challenge myself and gain speed, I started jogging 1 minute then sprinting 1 minute (1:1) repeating this for as many intervals as possible. There are many different interval levels depending on what you can do. Jog 2: Sprint 1 etc.

It is an easy way to watch your progress. Either increase the sprint intervals and jog less OR repeat for more and more intervals and of course sprint FASTER =). Such a challenge!

Thanks for the response... I'm going to try a modified version of that. I can jog a couple of miles without walking, so I might shorten the distance and break that up into different interval speeds. Thanks again for sharing your success!
