Sports Bra Recommendations?

Options
Well, I wasn't sure where to post this, so I hope it's ok here.

I need some recommendations of an affordable, comfortable, but supportive sports bra. I wear a 40DD, and I just cannot find a supportive sports bra that isn't crazy expensive. It seems like a lot of stores like Target size their bras in s, m, l, xl, xxl, but they still run small, or just are not that supportive.

I love going to Zumba class, but man the girls have been bouncing too much lately. My current sports bra is wearing out, and my other two don't fit anymore...too small...eeks.

So, what do the ladies with the larger chests recommend?

It is on the pricey side, but being pain free is worth it.

I've been wearing Natori Convertible Underwire Performance Sports Bra for years for running. I get them at Nordstrom Rack at under $30, they are about $54 full price.

I'm not that well endowed (I'm a C) but I use a Danskin Now High Impact front close. Best one I ever bought and not terrible for price.

I also do zumba and wear a 38D Danskin Now High Impact bra. It is very, very comfortable and priced under $20 I think. I have even started wearing Danskin bras all the time and not just for exercise.

have you tried the Lilyette brand? I've gotten them at Kohls -- not too expensive and pretty good support.

Under Armor Armor Bras are GREAT! Although they are on the more expensive side. I wear a 36DD and they support very well. I still bounce of course, I don't think anything will completely stop that, but it is a more controlled comfortable bounce. Not the crazy, hit you in the face bounce that other bras have left me with.

    Well worth the price!

I am a 38DD and find that I have to wear 2 bras to keep the girls down. It looks like I have a giant uniboob tube, but they don't flop all over the place.

I was a 38DD and had good luck with an XL from Old Navy. They are a little thicker and hold really well. They're only about $15, which is nice.

The Moving Comfort line is amazing. Buy any of them that are for high impact :) I'm a 34 D and they do the trick. Enjoy!

I highly recommend the "Maia" bra by Moving Comfort. I'm a DD & this bra not only keeps the "girls" in place, but lifts & separates!! This sports bra puts the "girls" where they should be... not smashed against your chest... best bra I've ever owned!! Gave my other sports bras to Goodwill... they just couldn't come close after having tried this! You can get it for $30-$40 on Amazon. Check out the reviews!

I've been wanting to ask the same question! I find that sports bras are so often either cute and unsupportive or super ugly for well endowed women. This is a great resource! :)

I am just about your size, got an enell size 4 in white (first link). This is a great bra for support, better than regular bra, but you should get fitted. Fleet feet will fit you and they are about the same price as online (Sacramento, CA area). There are a number of bras that might have more support but the juggling act you have to go through to get in them just isn't worth the time. Here are a few websites I got from searching here on MFP and other sources. These are not all the sites I went to, but what looked like a bra that could handle the job

I guess I've never tried buying expensive sports bras. What I have been doing instead is wearing a regular flexible underwire bra underneath a regular sports bra. I've been pain free and supported ever since!
