"Anything is better than being obese"?
I've seen this idea kind of floating out there. Sometime it is said outright, some times you see it in peoples choices to cut really deep in deficits....A discussion about weight lose meds made me ponder this one. I think mostly it is true. Getting thinner makes you healthier across the board and increases lifespan. Where…

Intermittent Fasting - OMAD and TMAD
I have come to realise the only way I am successful is when I fast. I fast between 16 and 20 hours a day usually and just break my fast when I am hungry. I am just wondering how many people have had a successful weight loss doing this? I know some people are properly lifestyle serious with it, but what about people like me…

Zumba calorie burn
I find this hard to believe. I'm 331 lbs today. Zumba says about 400 calories. I'm guessing there are many factors involved like, do you actually do all the hopping up and down or do you just 2 step and wave your arms about like a beached sea animal <. LOL.

Weight-loss for beginners
Are you trying to lose weight but nothing works?! Do you know how many calories you eat a day? Not how many you are “suppose to eat “ , How many do you CURRENTLY eat daily? Most of us don’t. That is why when we try to cut out calories to only 1200 a day we fail dramatically because we’re yea to eating 2000+ and such a…

24yr old Single Mom with three jobs
Hello! The tittle says everything and I’m excited to keep losing weight - I started intermittently fasting but seems like I got to be more intentional with what I eat so logging all the calories at first seem daunting and not good for the mental health but it actually makes me want to hit my goals more. Funny😅 here for any…

I can finally start seeing the changes (54lbs down.... 116 to go)
I have been bigger than average my whole life. When I stepped on the scales 5 months ago after seeing the pictures of myself from a cousin's wedding... I knew I needed a change. Since then, I have been trying out the Keto diet, I planned my macros, found a company that I can get meal prep from, and here we are, four months…

That scale. Blessing and Curse.
It can be very discouraging when you suddenly jump up 3 Lbs and then .5 the next day. It doesn't really mater to my lizard brain that I dropped 21 LBS in 17 days. A lot of that was water weight due to a medication change. I'm sure the upswing was just my body adding some water weight/waste weight back and it will start to…

Having realistic expectations
Not sure who if anyone needs to here this but..IMO. Have realistic expectations and do not let big successes fool you into thinking the realistic expectations are to conservative. You should expect to lose 1 to 2 lbs a week. When i started this again on July 4th I had great success and then I went on a nearly month long…

One of the craziest things about dieting and logging food
It can actually be hard to hit your target calories if you are also Intermittent fasting. When you are just living your life and eating whatever whenever you might eat 6000 calories in a day and not realize it. When you sit here logging everything you eat you realize how hard it is to hit 1800-2200 calories eating healthy…

Using my upright stationary bike (Schwinn IC3) I've decided to challenge myself to a fun biking journey making my way across the U.S.A from one coast to another. Brooks Runners
Firstly, I aspire to be a runner. Currently I carry too much weight and in an aging body I am overly cautious about joint damage. I danced and played soccer ⚽️ all my youth, went back to play a season around age 45 at my heaviest weight because if I couldn’t move for something I loved I might as well be dead. I lived…
