Vancouver Island Girl on a goal of 100 lbs weight loss through diet & exercise

I am married and a mom of two teens, work as a school librarian and looking for group support in creating and maintaining a consistent diet & weight loss check in system with others also doing the same thing. I have just over a 100 lbs to lose and doing it on my own has been a struggle (cheerleader of one just does not cut it). If anyone would like to join me on this weight loss path, I am happy to be your cheerleader too!

I lost my weight - 80ish pounds - in 2007-08, so I'm not a buddy in that way but I definitely want to send you encouragement that you can do it.

I know you didn't ask for guidance, but I'd say to read all the "Most Helpful Threads" in the forum categories that apply. Like here's the ones from "Getting Started"

Then, make it your second job. Log all food. Pre-log as much as possible. Take measurements and pictures of yourself now so you can see your progress. Read Success Stories here and elsewhere.

It's going to be two steps forward and one step back for a while during this first few months until you get into a groove. Don't give up - just look for new Solutions.

I'm right there with you…school teacher and mom to teens also. I am shooting for 80 pounds. I would love to have people to check in with and cheer each other on!

I’m on VI, have 3 teens at home, I’m actually on Wegovy since late November and it has been the only thing that has helped my eating issues/lack of control eating/adhd. This has enabled me to really focus on healthier foods, getting better nutrients in, sort of bad cravings have gone, and cravings for fresh and healthy real food is up. So strange. I’ve lost 30lbs so far. I have had struggles for many years with weight, and total to lose is approx 100-110 but would be really happy to lose 60 more. I have found a few things really do help me choose healthier foods, and dedicating time for myself to wash/prep/chop/things ahead of time. Anyone out there that finding they need to meal prep more? (Or snack prep etc)?
