Finally under 100lbs to go... some thoughts.

I started my journey at 310lbs.
My goal is 140lbs.
So, in total I am looking to lose 170lbs.

I have been on keto for almost 147 days, I started on the 1st July and have been tracking my calorie intake religiously.

I am finally under 100lbs to go with 93lbs left until my goal and 77lbs lost.

While I am sitting at 233 lbs, I am so proud of myself. I feel healthier, it doesn't hurt to walk, it doesn't hurt to clean up after myself. My clothing is fitting me better (though some doesn't fit because they're too big :D ), my energy is up and I feel so much more confident.

I no longer dread my weekly weigh in, if anything I am excited. I don't kill myself if I only lose a single pound. This has always been a journey to lose who I have always thought I was.

Someone unlovable, someone who would end up alone but that's fine at least someone can't leave or hurt me. Someone who is okay for a night but not for a relationship. Someone who's self esteem is so low it was subterranean. Week on week I am letting go of my past, of who I was, letting her die with each lb that leaves.

If you are reading this, you are worth so much more than you think. You are amazing, you can do this. I never thought I could, and yet I am.

I've done the 77, bring on the next 93. I will crush those lbs beneath my feet. No longer will I be afraid of feeling good about myself.

I'm *kitten* awesome.

Keep up the great work! I've been down on myself lately. I had almost reached my 2024 goal of 100 total lost. (not 100 pounds for the year, but 100 pounds from my start weight). I was within 5 pounds with three months to go. Then I started having a health issue that required some medication adjustments and I gained back about 20 pounds in 6 weeks. Now, we've got about 5 weeks left in the year and I'm 17.4 pounds from my goal for the year. What should have been so easy now seems impossible. Your post really lifted my spirits. Being hard on myself is not going to make losing the next 17.4 pounds any easier. I should focus on the 82.6 pounds that I HAVE lost and the progress that I have made towards improving my health. 100 pounds is the half-way point for me. I will get there. Thank you for the reminder.

You've got this! Every journey has ups and downs and some medications, especially steroids, are notorious for their weight gain side effects. You will get there, I am so happy my post has helped you <3. Also nearly 83lbs gone? WELL DONE YOU! That's amazing! You're smashing it!

You sound so happy and so confident. Isn't it wonderful to finally lose weight?

I am right with you. I started a bit heavier at 348 pounds in September, and I am down to 315.6 pounds as of yesterday. I hope to be under 300 by January, and from there, I have 120 more pounds to lose.

I am a bit older, 61 now, but feel like 40 or 50. The number in my head and the number on the paper don't match.

My clothes are getting wider, my face is getting smaller. I can bend down easier and I could get up, after a bad fall (tripped over the threshold of a baby gate). I have more energy, and I seem to be in my comfort zone for the first time in my life.

It seems you have found your way too. I am very happy for you.

Great Job! I lost 100 lbs a few years ago, and then during covid I gpt Covid and then had long Covid. I got really depressed and gained it all back, plus some! I am currently the heaviest I had ever been and I am on day 1. Everything hurts and I don't want to be like this anymore. So, Cheers to a new year and 365 new days to get back. I will have to see how to add you as a friend, if that's okay?
