Mini calendars highlight which dates there are data
I'm sure you've fallen off the wagon and gotten back on a streak, and you wanted to see how long your previous streak was. Or you have data from 2014, but not sure which day specifically, because you were maintaining back then, and logging was sporadic. And so you go into your diary/weight log and click back a few…

Eating Disorder Recovery Help
I'm just at a loss of what to do anymore. I'm in recovery from anorexia, but I can't stop eating. I eat up to 10000 calories a day, binging on anything I can get my hands on, food that I don't even like. I started at 73 pounds at 5'6, and am now around 85 pounds, and it has been a month. I'm so scared. I don't know why my…

Should I be losing weight or building muscle?
Hi I’m 22(f) and I just started using MyFitness Pal more seriously. I’m 5’1 and at ~120lbs. I recently gained about 10lbs over the past 2 months. The only thing that I can think caused this was quitting smoking. I haven’t done anything else different. I was even working out 3-4 times a week (spin classes) while I gained. I…

Building muscle and losing fat?
Basically I’ve spent my whole life dieting but I’m determined to lose weight healthily this time. I’m very aware of how calorie deficits work, but the problem is I have no idea how muscle works. In the past, I’ve ended up with a lot of loose skin from rapid weight loss + cardio and I hated it. So this time, I’m building…

Switching between :"losing weight" and "improving health"
Hello! I am new to the community. Due to recent health issues and improved mental health, I have decided to make a shift in my lifestyle. A bit about me: I have been overweight since the day I was born. I remember first having to diet in the 6th grade because I was too big to play on the football team with kids my age. I…

Intermittent fasting
For weight loss is this useful to do at the same time as reducing calories or should you stick to 3 meals a day? I’ve been doing 16/8 for a year and only eating lunch and dinner. Now on a diet of Monday to Thursday 1640 cal and Friday to Sunday 2100. Lost 10lb in the last 4 weeks. Would I lose more without fasting? Does…

When we lose weight, where does it go?
I was curious, so I looked it up, watched a fascinating Ted Talk about the mathematics of weight loss and learned this: 84% of fat is exhaled as CO2 (carbon dioxide) 16% of fat is excreted as H20 (water) Not sure if it's accurate, but it was really interesting, and definitely over my head!

Will going over my macros speed up my weight gain?
To make a long story short, I reverse dieted after a very long and restrictive diet and accidently ended up losing more weight in the process, making me mildly underweight by the end of it. Since the end of said reverse diet a few weeks ago, I've been eating in a calorie surplus in an attempt to bring myself back up to a…

I am worried about missing my workouts on vaca. Advice?
I was planning on working out 5 days in a row to get it in before I leave, but I don't think I will as I'm on day 2 and tired af lol. I had a deload week like 3 weeks ago so I'm worried about strength loss missing a couple workouts this week. I plan on a stretching and doing core workouts in my hotel room lol. Advice?

Is it okay to lift 5 days in a row?
I do a 4 day upper/lower split and sometimes take a rest day in the middle, or do all 4 in a row. Since I'm doing my last lift of the week tomorrow and need to get next week's in lifts in before I leave for vaca, I will be lifting 5 days in a row. Is that fine? I'd be resting for days after.

Loosing 70 pounds
Hello! I was wondering if anyone was also trying to lose at least 70 pounds. If anyone has any suggestions let me know!

Deloading tips?
Would 2 days instead of 4 still be an effective deload and some cardio? Or should I perform the 4 day upper/lower split at lower volume? It's been 9 weeks since I deloaded, and missed 1 day since. My back seems to be tweaking out and I think my body is getting fatigued. I've made upped the weight these past couple weeks…

Ladies, how do you handle PMS hunger/binge eating?
I am ravenous the week before!! And right now I ate like an extra thousand calories of trail mix... I drink tons of water/tea, excercise, eat my fiber/veggies/fruit, and more than my weight in protein...YET I AM STILL STARVING! Ugh please help. :(

Best ways to deload?
I currently do a 4 day upper/lower split and wondering how to deload properly. Can I reduce my training days to 2 days, and do some walking or yoga added? Do those 2 lifting days need to be lighter than usual? Reps/sets or weight, or both? Do I have to follow percentages or just cut the weight down or do what feels light?
-
How many exercises per session?
I've been doing this 4 day upper/lower split (see images), but some say you just need to go hard for 4 excercises? What do y'all think? If it's not broke don't fix it?

Disabilities and weight loss
I am new. I have a rare disease that is quite painful. Some days it hurts too much to eat and other days I eat way too much (usually when I feel sorry for myself because I am sick). I recently had a 8 week flareup during which I lost 14 pounds. I was happy to see the loss, but now I am worried that it may have screwed up…

Fatloss journey
Hi everyone I am on a fat loss journey, l have over 20kg to lose. Since I've been on this journey, I have discovered scale weight does not matter at all, weekly weigh-ins or daily weigh-ins hold expectations. Tracking Calories in a deficit
Wondering what other fitness professionals do. This may be along post, but would love to hear what you are doing. This is a sample: I set a clients calories at 3000, after about 3 weeks of maintaining weight, we decide to do a calorie deficit. So let's say I now have them eating 2750 calories. They are supposed to eat this…

Saxenda
Has anyone had any success with saxenda? I've been on it now since October 27th and I've gone from 275 to 257 today. I don't know if it's because it's given me new drive to lose weight again and it's all in my head or if this drug really helps. Either way it's helped me. Comments anyone?

I'm vegan, currently training for a 1/2 marathon, and am working on doing my first pull up again since grade school  If any of this resonates with you I'd love to connect
