What to do at the gym?

I’ve only just recently started to go gym and have no idea what to do to lose weight.

    Losing weight is about calorie balance. Eating has more to do with this than anything else.
    As for the gym, get a trainer. It's worth the money to ensure you don't waste your time doing exercises wrong and injuring yourself as well as doing the correct program for your goals.
