DONE C25K!
Just finished up my last run of the program. Can't believe I finally did it. I had a couple repeat weeks, some bad days, but mostly good. I tracked everything I did and am really proud of myself for accomplishing this goal. I have my first "official" 5K this Saturday and have my goal all set. I'm a pretty healthy person,…

Struggling with week 7
Hi lovelies I have completed Week 7 day 2 - 25 minutes running. And I am struggling big time. My Week 6 day 3 was great! that was a very pleasant 22 minute run (well, not pleasant but I wasn't struggling a lot) As soon as I started the last two runs, I COULD NOT WAIT until it was finished! I had very sore legs and it was…

Hi everyone, I just started the programme and am finding it pretty tough. I am on day 2. Any tips or anyone want to support eachother?

Constant Calf Pain
So Im on W3D2. I know I have extremely tight calfs and I do have a torn ligament in my ankle and probably some scar tissue at this point in there (My ATFL, hasn't healed in years, nothing they can reasonably do for repair). I do regular calf stretches 3 -4 times a day and I have been before I started the program. But when…

Max HR and average HR
What's the ideal average Heart rate while running? I'm doing max 177, averaging 143, for 5km at 37 mins. Am I pushing myself too much or I can push myself more? My target is to hit 5km in 30mins end of this year. Advice please?

Shoes... any advise?
I need a pair of good running shoes. The shoes I have now fit nicely when Im not running but when I start my toes tend to get pinched. And the palm of my foot ( I thinks thats what its called) tends to get blisters. Any suggestions?

W5D2....OMG! Did I complete that!!
After joining this forum i decided to read the posts in regards to week 4 because that 5 min jog was killing me. I could not complete it without taking at least a 30 minute break to breathe. After reading a few post I decided...YES...I am going to repeat week 4 cause I don't have it under my belt. Second time around I…

W7D2 --- General Tso's Counter Attack
Well I got home and it was a bitter 52 degrees out and with the wind chill probably about 48 or 49 Degrees (yes that is cold to thin blooded southerners.... LOL). If you had read my wall earlier you saw that I had General Tso's for lunch at the office Thanksgiving lunch. Still believe that to be a poor choice. Also I had…

W7D1 - I will not be derailed!!
Well yesterday was a test of my resolve.... Yesterday was more of a Monday than Monday if you know what I mean. Went through an Audit at work and had to explain everything that we do, why we do it, how we do it, and who we do it for. This being an internal audit I thought that the auditor would at least have an idea of how…

program completed.
Well, I ran my last training run today. 3.1 miles. Not very fast, but I did it. Actual chip timed 5k coming up on 12/9.

W8D3
Whew, made it through. Only one more workout to go. W9D1 is to run 3.1 miles straight then I am done with the training program. 12/9 I will run an "official" 5K race. Been tough though. Really would like my time to get better. Can never get better than around 10 minute mile.

week 3 updates
This morning I completed w3d1. I decided to do distance instead of time. It was much better for me. I'm doing c25k exclusively on the treadmill. I get really bored watching the time so I thought I would try something a little different. I'm looking forward to my next run.

W8D2 - Turkey Day 5K
Well I actually ran the Turkey Day 5K today and finished in an unoffical time of 27m30s. The official times are not posted yet to the web site so I will not know for day or two what the "real" time was. It went pretty good but I have to admit that I did walk for about 30 seconds around the 1.7 mile area. I got caught-up in…

Finished!!
Just finished my last day with a time of 34 minutes! Pretty pumped about that. Thinking I'm going to do the 10K for pink now. :)

Restarting... Looking for friends
I am restarting tomorrow. I graduated the program back in May. I ran my first 5k at the end of May with a time of 50:04. I ran very little over the summer. When I started again I was using bridge to 10 k because I liked the 10 minute intervals at the beginning. Then I stopped running all together at the end of August. I…

C25K
Ok, so I've started this thing a zillion times. Life gets in the way. UGH! HELP me stay with it. I work from home, by 745 the husband is out the door with kids to school and I SHOULD use that time to do it, but I find myself coming to the computer and working. Someone PUSH ME!

Turkey Day Races! Who's doing one?
Since my family doesn't usually get together until early afternoon, I thought an early morning 5k would be a great idea for me, especially since I tend to gorge myself on turkey and pie...this will be my 4th 5k race since completing c25k in September! My goal is to get under 30 minutes (not likely, but that's why it's a…

Somebody has to be last, right?
I ran my first 5k on 10/27 after "graduating" and my time was just silly - a 56:30 finish. I took pride in it, even as I was amused by how slow I am. Everyone says not to worry, you won't be last. Well, someone needs to be last, right? And that someone was me. Around here the walkers start BEFORE the runners, so I was…

W4D2 .... Long but worth the read
Well,,,, After my W4D1 interval set that really tested my resolve I was determined that I would either make today's run or stay home cause it might rain tomorrow, all of the work traffic would be coming into the community, I would miss the Dr Oz show ..... (ok so you get the point that I was looking for excuses to get out…

Playing music while working a session
When I play music while working through a C25K session, the music stops after 30 seconds. I have to start it again and it starts where it stopped. Then it stops after 30 seconds. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to fix it?

Finishing Week 2/Starting Week 3 - Question
So, tomorrow is my last day of week 2 and then after a break I'll be starting Week 3. I'm amazed at even this much, as a few years ago when I tried it I couldn't even do half of Week 1 Day 1. I've come a long way. My question ... I realize everyone says to worry more about endurance/form than speed, but I'm just curious…

First 5K
Every single muscle in my body hurts, but I did it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ran a 5K. I ran the whole thing too. Did not walk. I've been running for over 3 miles for a number of weeks now, but all my runs where in areas around me....flat pavement. This 5K was at a state park. It kicked my *kitten*. There were HUGE hills. I've never…

First 5k!
My first 5k was this past Saturday and l finished in a time of 38 minutes flat. My times earlier this month were around 36 minutes, but I finished under 40 so I am ok with that! And I think I layered too much, or maybe just in the wrong order because while running I had to take off my tech shirt which was under my tshirt.…

Finished C25K and jogged my first 5K
Saturday was my first 5K ever. I was nervous about it, but also ready for it as I had just finished C25K earlier that week. My main goal was to just finish the race under the 45 minute mark, and possibly not be the last person to finish in my age group (this was secondary). As fate or luck would have it, my official time…

yes, its another w5d3 story.
So amazed! Can't believe I lived through that. I convinced my younger brother to go out for a run with me, and I'm lucky I did. Had he not been there, I'm pretty sure I'd have walked for minimum of a minute or two at the half way point. So excited to have that behind me and at least a couple of days of intervals before…

Two Week Break
I had some problems come up that caused a two week break from running at the start of Week 6. I just got a elease to get back to running but not sure where to start back into the C25K program. Any suggestions on which week to pick back up on? I really would like to build up to a 5K in Dec so I want to get back up to pace…
