W5D3....conquered!
Well, sometimes i just surprise myself. I actually ran 20 minutes straight. wasn't fast at it by any means but I did it. Looking at my runmeter app, looks like I was hovering around the 10:00 minute mile mark. It said my fastest pace was 8:54 which sounds good on paper. :drinker: Never been happier when the little voice…

Week 2
I keep repeating it. My neighborhood has a lot of hills and I just feel like I can't do 3 mins non stop yet. Is that bad? Should I force myself to run the 3 mins even when I can barely make it through the 90 second runs right now?

Don't worry about coming in last. I did it, and I'm happy!
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/782125-i-came-in-last-in-my-race-this-weekend-and-loved-nsv Anyway, tl;dr - it's okay to be a slow runner. Coming in last isn't horrifying - what you're doing for yourself is infinitely more important than how fast you do it :)

Graduated??? I think so!!!
Ok so I kind of skipped weeks 8 and 9 since my 5K was this Saturday but I'm not going back to do them since I RAN IT ALL!!!! Ok so my actual 5K was cancelled because of snow so I decided to do my own on Sunday, mapped out a run that was 3.4miles long (just incase I miscalculated a little) and I ran the whole way…

Running on Treadmill vs Outside
I am brand new to running. I run outdoors (asphalt and composite tracks) only and just today I have made it to my first 30 minute run following the Bluefin C25K program - yipee!! I am really slow, about 17 min. mile. I have a friend who runs only on a treadmill and is constantly telling me that if I keep at it I will get…

W8D1 - DOWN!
This morning's run seemed a little tougher than past runs. My legs felt a lot 'heavier' than they have in the past. But, I did it. I've been trying to determine whether I like having music while I run or not, and have come to the conclusion that I don't. When I run in the mornings, I'm finding that I truly enjoy the dark,…

W5D2
Did my W5D2 run today. Surprisingly, it wasn't so bad considering how I struggled week 4. I really think the longer runs can be easier to a degree since it gives you time to actually find a groove. My cold is gone too so I am sure that helped me a bit. Next up, the famous W5D3 20 minute run. That's will be on Friday.

Couch to half marathon...
Can it be done. I have a little over six months to train. I'm not completely out of shape cardio wise...I can do some jogging and elliptical for an hour at a good pace. My thought was to start c25k then get to 10k and go from there. Ive always wanted to do this run but I finally feel up to the challenge. I just need to…

First 5K
Thanks to everyone in this group who helped me thru my shin splints, giving me helpful tips. I finished my first 5K yesterday! I ran more than I walked. My time was not great but better than I expected. Finished at 43:56. Not a great time but I finished and I am looking forward to the next one and shaving time off.

W9D3 Done!
I just finished my workout and am so excited that I was able to make it through this program. I started with P90 and then in the second phase of P90 I started Insanity cardio routines on my cardio days. I then moved on to P90X and started Couch to 5K in place of the cardio workouts. I start phase 3 of P90X tomorrow and…

Too poorly to run.... when can I start again??
I'm suffering because I've had a sore throat and now a cough for 10 days. Yes, I'm counting days because I haven't been able to run. I had just managed to complete the first run of week 8 where I ran for 28 minutes continuously. Since that end-of-term-itis has caught up with me! But when I was out shopping today I was…

running with platar fasciitis
I have a bad case of plantar fasciitis in my right foot. I have had the left surgically repaired already. I want to do the couch to 5k program but the first day is a killer for my foot. I stretch and ice. Those dont really help much. Does anyone else have this problem? Is this going to get better? I am considering getting…

C25K on a treadmill
So winter has hit us and rain if curtailing my morning runs. Trying to run when the weather is better in the afternoons. So I am thinking that on rainy days, I can maybe go the clubhouse and jump on a treadmill. I was wondering if anyone has experience with modern treadmills? meaning, how do you switch from walking to…

Linking Apps to MFP
I tried linking the "Endomondo" app to MFP and it uploaded as soon as I hit stop for the exercise I was doing. The time for the exercise was correct also but regardless of walking or running it gave me credit for "10 min/mile" pace. I try and walk fast but that's just a bit to fast. Any suggestions or has anyone had better…

How are you entering your progress into exercise diary?
Hello, I'm new to myfitnesspal and on day 2 of the c25 k. Does anyone have totals for the minutes of running and walking from the workout throughout the program? Is that even the best way to log the exercise in the diary? For week one i am just figuring the workout involves 22 mins of walking and 8 mins of jogging.

W4D1
Holy Crap. Running 5 minute intervals = suck. didn't help that I have a cold. Running on cold meds is trippy. Decided to run Sunday afternoon as opposed to Monday at 5 am since a rain storm was heading our way. Glad I did. It was pouring this morning. At least I got through it. Hopefully be feeling better by the next run.

Can I be ready in time?
I just finished c25k w1d1. There is a reindeer run December 7th that I have been wanting to run in for 2 years. Is there any way I can be ready by then? That looks to be around week 7. Thanks!

W8D2
I ran 3.2 miles again. Sunday I was a bit down since I didn't make it that far. I had previously hit the 3.2 mark last Thursday. So I have learned two things for myself in the past week. 1) My body might not like a two day rest between Thursday and Sunday, my two best runs have been after a one day rest, and 2) I have got…
