What's on your playlist?
I'm wondering if I'm the only weirdo out there who actually builds playlists based on interval times for the specific weeks and days of the program. I kept meaning to do it with W1 and W2, but I finally put together my playlist for W3. The times aren't 100% on but they're close enough that I can miss the last few seconds…

Getting impatient...
How long did it take you to see results (pounds and/or inches) once you began running? I haven't seen any changes yet, and I'm starting to get frustrated!

Repeating weeks/days?
How do you decide if you should repeat a day or week? I feel like I'm never really confident moving on to the next week but I normally do ok on it. So im just wondering if i should be repeating a day or two from the previous week. Any advice would be helpful thanks!

Starting C25K program, curious about other cardio
I am planning on starting the C25K program very soon. I am not a runner, so I am trying to prepare myself for completing this challenge. My question is, when starting the program, do you still do other cardio? If so, when should it be done? Before doing the C25K session, after, or on a rest day? I really want this to be…

Can you do this more than 3 times per week?
Is it okay to do this like 5 times a week? Or should I stick to the three?

Week 2.5!
Has anyone else slotted in in between weeks? I have just finished week two, but due to recent knee niggles and doing it barefoot I am thinking of putting a half way step week before advancing to week 3. Thinking of doing 2 mins run 3 mins walk on the first day and edging up if all goes well. Just wondered if anyone else…

Struggling with the long runs
I don't know if I'm mentally blocked or just not physically ready, but I have yet to complete a long run. I've been doing C25K for a couple months now, and have repeated some weeks (either because I didn't comfortably finish, or I went on vacation and want to redo a week). Since week 5's 20 minute run on day 3, I have…

C25k New Years Resolution
Hi all! I am ready to get my ass running in 2012...anyone want to join me and start the first week of January?

re-finding my penguin
Hi everyone! I just joined last night. I did 5 half marathons 6-7 years ago as part of Team In Training. They only focused on running..nothing else. SO, I am losing weight, setting goals, and one is another half in about a year. My BIGGIE ? is, should I be doing core workouts as well as the cardio? I had a hard hard time…

Newbie - Combine with Core?
I would like to begin C25K, but I am also performing kettlebell swings twice per week to strengthen my core and legs. The swings do involve squats, so they give my quads a really healthy beating. Many general fitness approaches use both strength training and cardio, but I wasn't sure of the kettle swings might interfere…

I'm a 5K virgin!! Need location suggestions!!
Hello!! I am wanting to run my first 5K in the next few months and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where I should go. I live in Eastern Tennessee and would like to run somewhere no more than 3 hours from here. I have been contemplating about finding a race in Atlanta or Asheville, NC because I really like…

Should I repeat first week?
Hi, I have just completed the first week of C25K. I did find it hard but not really had any adverse after effects. No stiffness but I have felt very tired by the afternoon (I have been jogging about 10am) and very tired next morning. I can't decide whether to repeat the first week or even do one more stint of the first…

walking/running with kids in jogging stroller
Hi there- I am a stay at home mom with two children 2yr/5mos old children...and I have a double jogging stroller for them. I live in the south, but I still feel very guilty when I think about going outside with them when it's cold outside. Any ideas/thoughts/or suggestions would be appreciated. Some days I feel like I am…

Doing week 1 run 2 tomorrow
Does anyone who's at a similar stage want to be friends and do it together?

Good pain or bad pain???
I am on week 2 of c25k doing it barefoot. Had a bit of a niggle on top of foot and inside same ankle, and has moved up to knee. This has happened in between last run 5 days ago and now. Had massage today and did week 2 day 2 tonight. The pain while running was probably a 1 or 2 out of ten so I am wondering if its just pain…

First failure
So, I tried to do week 9 run 1 and failed :( . At 16 minutes I was toast. It was hotter than usual, I was running a different path and was running with a buddy instead of my I-pod. There was a lot more unrelenting uphill that I was used to. Would it be bad to try again today, under the conditions I'm more used to? It's…

Week 8!
Finally made it to Week 8!!!!!!!! Just finished W7D3 today. It was a little more difficult that D1 and D2, but I don't know why. I will be doing W8D1 on Wednesday. Anyone else on Week 8?

Anyone else doing this barefoot?
I have tried this programme twice before and both times crashed out. The first time I think it was from expensive but wrong for me shoes, and the second time I possibly pushed too far too fast. I have just started it again from week one day one, and this time will stick to the programme and not be impatient. While I think…

Giving it another go - back to W1D1
I made it to W3D1 in November, before being plagued with seemingly never-ending health issues (plus the eventual Christmas holiday period). I've now decided to go back to W1D1 and start all over again. As I was a complete non-runner before C25K I just don't have the confidence in my body to go straight back to week 3. My…

How do you log the exercise for the different days?
I'd like to log my runs (ok, fat mat shuffles) but I'm not certain how. I was thinking of calling them the slowest running and taking 5 minutes of the time for the walking, but I'm not sure how accurate it would be. I have the same question for the P90X workouts.

C25K graduate going for Round 2!
I started running with Couch to 5k in December of last year, then a 10k training plan. I'm doing well, better than I ever thought possible, but now that I can do a 5k in under 25 minutes, I want to push myself and see just how fast I can get. My goal is to be under 21 minutes by Spring, so I'm going through C25k again, but…

My first day of C25k - how did you start?
I've started C25k Week 1 but only doing it at 2mph walking (3.2 kph) with jogging replaced by walking 2.5mph (4kph) as I am so overweight and unfit (280 lbs). I will complete the program and start again until I can do it properly - the podcasts are really motivating and make the training go quickly. I have…

Third time's a charm!
I'm new on MFP, but not so new on C25K. The first time I tried it, I got to week 3 and stopped. No reason for stopping, the motivation wasn't there. Second time I was really motivated, got to week 6 and... tore several ligaments in my ankle at my birthday party (nice birthday gift right?? ;-) ) I was on crutches for a…

RunKeeper User?
Calling all Runners (new or experienced - I'm a newbie all over again myself)? Do you use RunKeeper.com? If so, I'm looking for Street Team members (basically same as a friend/motivator) so we can coax each other along in the New Year to ensure we get off our butts and out for a run...

Week 3 Day 1
I did it today. I struggled, whereas I haven't struggled at all this far. I've been doing it at 5.0 on the treadmill at a 1% incline, but I'm wondering now if I should lower my speed a little. I may need to repeat this week. Any advice guys? I'm 5 ft 2 so I can't go fast. 4.5 feels too slow. But is 4.7 and 5 that much…

Started C25k today...
Where I live, outdoor running is near impossible this time of year (cold doesn't bother me so much as deadly ice and snow lol) so I decided to move away from the elliptical at my gym and tackle the walking/running track. I have always wanted to run but never could. I put c25k on my iphone and away I went. I made it, I got…

Starting C25K On January 2nd-Tips?
So, I have been trying to find motivation to get back into working out. I heard about the Couch to 5K program and decided to check it out!! I have decided that with every week I complete the workouts without stopping, I will reward myself (not with food). And every 5 lbs lost do the same. My small town has a 5K on the 4th…
