I don't like apple
Hi..I'm new here. I started C25k 2 weeks ago but developed a blister on my foot that, by the end of that week, grew to the size of a quarter. I finally popped it the other night and i'm letting it heal. I will be buying some running shoes and restarting c25k in a couple of days. I intend to see it through to the end, but…

Anyone else on week 6
Not go back to running the intervals? I just couldn't bring myself to go back to running 5 and 8 minute intervals when I knew I could go for 20. So today I just skipped straight to the last day of week 6 and ran for 25 mins! It felt great! xxx

My body hates running
I started the C25K program at "couch" status. It took numerous tries to get through week 1 completely just one time! I was thrilled when I did it twice more and could move on to week 2. Between breathing issues (need to use inhaler) and my darn foot, I think I am out for a while. I have gotten through week 2 twice…

EXTREMELY Slow...
I'm starting Week 4 today...So far while my endurance has definitely improved I don't feel that I'm going any faster than I was 3 weeks ago. I believe according to the GPS on the app I'm averaging between 16:00 and 17:00 per mile. In the half hour sessions I'm going about 1.8 miles. Is this a normal pace for the first few…

Anyone with past injuries/surgeries?
I'm seriously considering doing C25K. I've wanted to for about 2 years now and my fiance successfully went through it once. I had hammertoe surgery in college on my left foot. My dumba$$ doctor didn't put me through any kind of rehab or PT, though I have discovered since then that a lot of people who have this surgery have…

Weight loss with C25K
Hey! So I am planning on starting C25K and was wondering what kind of success people had when it comes to weight-loss with this programme? I am 20, 5'1" and I weigh 116 lbs (I know it doesn't sound like a huge amount but I feel that an extra 10lbs on a short girl looks like an extra 25 lbs on a taller girl!! Anyway, please…

How do you log your C25K exercises in myfitnesspal?
I can't seem to find a good combination of exercises to add for my sessions on C25K. Should I enter the overall walking time, and then the overall running time separately? How do you guys do it?

i forgot how to run.... :(
i finished my 5k training last december. I was really happy and finished it a week early. But lately, i enjoyed taking a lot of weight training and cardio classes that i ignored running. i started running again last week and my knees were not like it use to be and my breathing were so horrible... so, i went back to week 6…

Starting Tomorrow
I've been running some since last summer, I've done 2 5ks and a 4 Mile Turkey Trot and I'm signed up for another 5k in March. I walk A LOT more than I run, but I was proud to just finish. I wanna go faster and am really trying to build endurance. Doing it on my own hasn't been easy and I'm getting really frustrated with my…

Ankle pain?
Hi! I am on W2D2 and my ankles are KILLING me! I'm talking, could barely walk after doing my W2D1 workout last night killing me. They are doing better today (not 100%, but better), but I am nervous about my workout tomorrow. Did anyone else experience ankle pain when they started C25K or running in general? Is it because…

Redondo Beach Superbowl 5K?
Is anyone else running this 5K in February? I've ran lots of 5Ks before, but I got REEEEALLY out of shape. I'm on Week 8 of the C25K training, so I will end my training WITH this race. I'm flying out from Chicago with my 10 year old daughter, and we are running it with my sister, who lives out there. This is my sister's…

Repeating Week 1
Hi everyone! I've been hitting the gym 5 days a week for the last 9 weeks and recently started working on the C25K program. I'm very overweight - 313lbs right now (started at 330 9 weeks ago) and while I am getting much stronger and losing weight and improving my endurance, I haven't quite built up enough to complete week…

Speed on Treadmill?
Can anyone advise what speed on the treadmill should be? I did my first run today (and OMG I'm SO HIGH RIGHT NOW! LOVED IT!) and was walking at 5.3km and running at 7km.

Here I go....
Ok so I'm not a runner. When I run, I'm prone to falling LOL. So I guess I've fallen and bumped my head because I find myself seriously planning to start this running program. I've been attempting, with no real plan to start getting active for a few months now. I'm just uncomfortable with my health/body right now. So I'm…

Achilles heel pain
I just started this program this week. I'm having pain in my right achilles heel. Does anyone have advice on how to alleviate the pain? I don't want to stop the program but I don't want to tear anything either. Thanks in advance for any of your advice.

What do you do on your rest days?
I have a goal of working out 5 days per week. C25K takes up three of those days - any suggestions on what to do on the other two? I don't want to do anything to heavy cardio - I am literally starting from the couch and I really don't want to get injured. Just wondering what others do on their off days. Thanks all!

W1D1
I finally decided to start the program. (yea me!) So, down the country road I go in the cold (26*), snow, and frigid wind gusts. Of course I feel great now, but I couldn't help thinking how much easier it would be if I was doing this on a treadmill... LOL

Houston
Anyone in Houston doing this program? I just completed my first week. It would be nice to find someone in my area to go through this program with. I'm about 25 mins from Memorial Park which is a good place to jog.

Week 1 Day 1
Just finished week1 day 1 of C25K and I must say that I think I experienced what they call "Runner's High". I felt great and wanted to keep running. I NEVER would have been able to do this without quitting smoking first. I cannot wait until W1D2!!! Hopefully I will give up my past addiction of smoking with a new addiction…

Heart rate during jogging/running
Hey, guys. I'm just curious- anybody else use a heart rate monitor when they do this program and find they are always over their 85% max? I just ended week 2 and usually I walk at 3.5mph and when I jog, I go around 4.7-5mph. I am ALWAYS over my 85% by a good amount and wonder if this is bad because I always want to go even…

Running Shoes
For all of you doing the c25k program, what brand/style running shoes do you find the best for you?

Distance questions!
Do you know how far you've actually ran? Okay, this may sound confusing. But, for example, I did W2D2 today and I only went 1.75 in 29 minutes. What about you? What week are you on and how far do you run? Anybody at 5K yet?

Thoughts on Week 1
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/FoxCarter/view/c25k-week-1-review-196787 I have just completed Week 1and starting Week 2 tonight. Important things I have learned: 1. Eat a small snack before hand. A handfull of peanuts, a clementine, an energy bar, whatever. I feel tired and it makes the run harder without it. 2. Breathe.…

Week 2
I am starting this today! I've been using the Christian Indie Tracks (http://www.buriedtalentsband.com/C25K/) and am pleasantly surprised at how good they are. I really am motivated when using them. I hope week 2 is as nice.

Breathing techniques/help needed!
I just finished week 2 today, and I know week 3 adds in 3 min runs. I feel fine on the lower body when I was running the 90 seconds for week 2, but I couldn't get catch my breath while running. I was going at 4.7 for the first 2 intervals then went down to 4.5. Are there any techniques you suggest. Keep in mind I am 281…

Running in the rain
So on Tuesday it was raining and as a result I was about to give up the idea of exercising. It wasn't a weights day, that was Monday so it was a run or nothing. I don't like extended periods on the treadmill so I decided to brave the weather and go out for a run in the rain. I had to leave my iPhone behind. I've never run…
