I run along a pretty trail in a rural area and spend a lot of my runs thinking about the wildflowers and gambolling cows, and the setting sun glistening off the river and how perfect nature is. Last night was hot and I forgot to take water with me so I spent most of the run thinking about how much I'd rather be in a hot…

Coke/Coke zero/Diet coke all taste the same to me. I don't think I could even tell the difference between Pepsi and Coke if you held a gun to my head. Apart from Diet coke with Mango, because that stuff is vile.

Nutritionally wise I don't know if Malt loaf is any different from any other cake, though it perhaps has a higher fibre content. It's delicious though, and low in fat (until you replace the fat by spreading on an inch thick layer of butter...it's the only way to eat it)

I thought that was called Muesli everywhere! Isn't Muesli a thing in the U.S.?

I think it would basically be soup. Is fruit soup a thing? You could try it I suppose, a smoothie with lots of berries in and a dash of cinnamon warmed up might be nice.

Doesn't it get expensive eating out all the time? Maybe that's another thing to discuss with your husband, the money you could save if you cut down on eating out and cooked at home half the time as a compromise.

Same, I weigh myself rarely and irregularly and prefer to go by the fit of my clothes. I'm losing my final ten pounds and it's a slow process, and I found my constant weight fluctuations disheartening to see. I weight in every few weeks to make sure I'm not going too far off track but I find that skinny jeans are my truest…

5 fried eggs for dinner every single day? I give it a week before you never want to eat an egg again.

That's like saying, unless you're actively training to enter the Great British bake off all cake making is a waste of time.

So 200 calories worth of vinegar would be 10 tablespoons of it. That's...that's a lot of vinegar. If you only had half a cup full then I don't think you've used as much as you think you did.

Breakfast: Chia pudding - chia seeds blended with yoghurt and banana and topped with blueberries, left to set overnight. Lunch: Tomato and spinach risotto, and an apple and sultana flapjack. Dinner: Roast cauliflower and sausages

I'd say it was 1/5 of a teaspoon. Although as it's cinnamon I really wouldn't worry, just add according to taste.

Wouldn't want to use the bathroom after him the next day, that's for sure.

Try a few workouts and see if you like them, and then maybe consider purchasing a programme. You can create your own schedule using the calendar but I found it really helpful having a pre-set programme, it stopped me slacking off or getting overwhelmed by choice.

So why is there any need to follow the rules of the diet at all, why not just eat 1300 kcals of any food you like?

I'm all for intermittent fasting, but fasting for 48 hours, eating lightly for 3 days and then fasting again, and repeating the process for months is not intermittent fasting, it's starving yourself. No one can give you tips on how to do it properly or effective because it's simply not a proper or effective idea.

This is why you need a food scale! The cups/slices/rolls you're using as measurements could be varying hugely in size and weight.
-
If you actually ate the tea leaves then 45 kcals per 100g might be accurate, but infused in water? It's got to be negligible.

I wish a pizza crust could have the same number of calories as the equivalent weight in cauliflower. And the pepperoni and cheese had the same fat content as the slices of tomato.

The "but your body processes sugar differently" post will be coming along any minute now...

Rice and haricot beans with tomatoes, spinach and avocado. I forgot to put any dressing on it so it's going to be a bit meh.

Measuring things in cups or portions (e.g. quarter of a pepper) is a lot less accurate than weighing everything in grams.

Stuffed crust pepperoni pizza and a deep fried mars bar for pudding

It was! I'm trying to get more veg in to my lunches so I'm pleased it turned out well.

Today I had roast butternut squash with caramelised onion, avocado and feta in a tortilla wrap.

I want to look hot in a bikini. I'm shallow.

Have you started exercising recently as well? If so, are you removing all your makeup before you work out? If not it can sink in to your pores as they open up when you start sweating and things can get a bit gross.

Chocolate tastes best when it's in egg form so I just give in and eat them all.
-
I've been going through a big dried fruit phase lately, apricots and prunes are my go-to snack but dried mango is amazing. I really need to cut down on it though because...unpleasant digestive side effects.

All of those green vegetables you eat, how are you cooking them, just plain boiling them? Maybe try roasting them with a little oil or adding butter.
