Stevia gives me crazy heartburn. Splenda tastes a little wrong in baking. So I mix Splenda and proper baking sugar depending on my needs.

A calorie deficit. You can't spot reduce. You need to consume less than you burn to lose fat. Period.

Please, share your results. In number and detail. Also, how was your metabolism tested? Again, share details and numbers. ETA: No, I'm not asking for your medical records. I'm asking you to share what was tested and what your numbers were. Because I'm skeptical, and other people are reading this.

Treat yourself like you would your child. Say no when it's in your best interest. Taking care of yourself is not optional. Exercise because you need to, not because you feel like it. I've lost 115lbs doing this. Once I made it "mandatory" and started nurturing and parenting MYSELF in addition to everyone else, it got a lot…

Bolthouse Farms for the win. Also, Oppa cucumber dip is 20 calories per serving and it's the bomb!

Ummm, nope.
-
No. Just no.

Six pounds? Do you have a food scale?
-
Ok, so buy a food scale and stick with logging. I wasn't thrilled 115lbs ago, either. So I fixed it.
-
So within two hours you changed your mind.

Sure, if you're built like The Rock. For most of humanity, it's a pretty accurate indicator in life and death matters.

I'd like to chime in. I'm a person who trained to dance professionally since being a toddler and had that all taken away by catastrophic knee injuries. Here I am decades later back in dance training. REAL dance training, with people who have danced all their lives. I work out in the middle. The best dancers are in the…

Low responders who self report, as reported by a guy thoroughly debunked. If you're going for BBC, try Secret Eaters.

It's a big deal for sure. Now keep on keeping on and get to healthy!

I'm so confused.

You need a food scale. I use it for all solids (even packaged foods) and semi-solids (nut butters, yogurt, even salad dressing). That's how you know for certain.

My advice, based on your previous threads, is to plan ahead and just stick with your calorie goals. Keto isn't magic. you still need to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight.
-
I'll bow out of this thread in a moment because I don't really understand where the hostility is coming from. I'll just ask that if you stall in your loss you not ask anyone on the forums to take time out of their day to help you figure out why.

Set it at sedentary and log any deliberate exercise only.
-
Save your money. Spend $20 or less on a food scale, fill out your profile here and stick to your calorie goals...by using said food scale. There are no shortcuts. There are no miracle products. It doesn't matter if you're eating healthy if you aren't accurately controlling HOW MUCH you are eating.

Only if your motive is to troll rather than have an intellectually honest debate.

You forgot to mic-drop at the end.

Awesome thread, kudos!

All of this!!!

Buy a food scale, eat whatever you'd like and stick to the calorie goals MFP sets for you.

One of the best things I did when I began this journey is speak with someone who posts photos of food and drink constantly but stays thin. She told me she'd been chubby as a teen and worked her whole life to keep track of her calories and estimate in her head. I've known this lady for over 20 years, and I never noticed her…

Yep, you need a food scale.
