I began at 231. Morning weigh in today was 175.0. Seven months of my life but enjoying the journey. Use this time as the experiment to find the right mix of foods and macros for you…the ultimate goal is to maintain once you hit goal after all. You can maintain if you adopt the right mental positioning regarding health over…

Go for something smaller or the gym membership. A massage for a hour will be healthful and relaxing. Save the bigger bucks for goal wardrobe since you are 20# away. Depending on your family budget…you could go get a new outfit (or 5) at Goodwill. I’m halfway to my goal of 111# so I’m not investing big money in clothing yet…

We cut sugar all together. I drink my coffee with heavy whipping cream but 1 teaspoon vs. 1 tablespoon like I used to use. I still like to take my afternoon tea sweet and creamy…1/2 teaspoon cream and half a stevia packet or 1/4 teaspoon Miss Jones Bettersweet. I do take them totally naked, black, plain when I fast…

I like sardines, hummus on Wasa crackers. Can of tuna on organic salad greens (washed, ready to eat) with a spoon of mayo. Small bowl, half Tablespoon butter smeared inside, hand full of kale chopped, topped with any diced veg and an egg. Microwave for 45-75 seconds depending on your micro. Shop and chop your veg twice a…

I enjoy tofu but on a limited basis. Tofu is estrogen mimicking. This can lead to unwanted and undesirable outcomes for those who make it a primary protein source. When I do enjoy it, I only eat organic varieties to avoid the heavy chemical load and gmo’s which are further hormone disrupters. Consider tofu to be to food as…

I began to seek better health after Mister got home from open heart surgery last October. 7 months in I have lost 56 pounds. I no longer drink daily. I have even abstained for 7 days consecutive and another point of 8 days. I have learned that ALL OF IT hinges on gut health and adult beverages pretty much nuke the F out of…

It is a sad thing when you realize people are treating you differently. This is the most weight I have ever lost, but once before I lost 50 pounds and noticed that 145 pounds met friendlier people who wanted to be around me than 195 pounds of me experienced. I’m not even talking “Oh…it was probably my imagination”. No…it…

10 minutes in…I’m out. I don’t want recipes, I want a whole food approach in a simple meal plan. Additionally, since I already eat 100 or fewer carbs a day, I’m guessing I’d be disappointed anyways.

Sometimes I log the whole day ahead of time…others I log as I go. If I log after it goes sideways fast. It seems easier to log the whole day in morning and delete or alter as things evolve. It helps me stay in the “zone” calorie/macro wise better.

Username: DebbsSeattle Weigh-In Day: Thursday Start weight: 231 PW: 176.7 CW: 176.6 Surprised to see anything in downward movement. I think the hot weather has been to my overall detriment and indulging in too many starchy carbs. Water weight and glucose gain and no fasting willpower…bad combo.

I should add…I had some NSV’s this week. Tried on skinny clothes and more fit this week than last, my butt looks cute in my little workout shorts, and I’m frugal but I threw out poison foods in the pantry (Mrs. Buttersworth, Kraft Ranch dressing, BBQ sauce). There is more to go but small bits at a time is all my frugal…

Thanks for the read…an enjoyable story of a journey driven by passionate health seeking. I’m certain you will be the one maintaining throughout the balance of your life. If you have not done a deep dive on fasting for autophagy, may I suggest it. It could be a tool in your toolbox to help you rid yourself of that excess…

You and I are writing the same pages in our personal histories. I started 231 October 27. This morning, May 7, I weighed in at 175, and my goal is to at least touch 125 even if I decide 130-135 is a better weight to hold at. I congratulate you because I know the commitment it takes. See you at the finish line to then…

Username: DebbsSeattle Weigh-In Day: Thursday Start weight: 231 PW: 180.2 CW: 177.0 I’m officially “overweight” having slipped from “obese”! No specific goals this week, just 7 days of doing it right is the plan and not giving in to my craving for eating out. Its nothing but poison food. It does tell me that I need an…

I’m down 53# in 6 months. For me, I was insulin resistant like every processed carb addict. I now only eat food with only one ingredient or very simple ingredient lists (like…sardines, salt, water). My diet is primarily keto based on a fresh whole food foundation. I try to focus on my restoration of gut health. I do have…

We had 2 weeks at Aprils start. It has taken 2 weeks to “recover” and get back to the pre-vaca weight. Your self control will need to be tip top shape or you will need to plan on the reckoning afterwards. Ideas to think about: 1-Eat healthfully at breakfast and lunch and eat whatever sounds good at dinner. 2- Only allow…

I have set a rule of no more than 2 alcohol units per day, on no more than 3 days per week. Sometimes I go over to 4 days a week and other weeks I end up abstaining all together. I discovered that after 20 years of being a wineaux (that is a fancy wine-o) that I experience HUGE pain the following day…by accident…

Username: DebbsSeattle Weigh-In Day: Thursday Start weight: 231 PW: 185.3 CW: 183.9 Doing better after vaca but stress is continuing at about a 95/100. Turn your perspective from vanity towards regaining health. The vanity will follow the health. Look to your why. If it is because of a spouse or a child…you got 99% of your motivation right there. 6# a month, for 12 months? Why that is a great goal to be able achieve. Not moving the needle? Change it up. Go back to your…

Do not let the external factors overcome your inner fire. Get mad, get motivated. When it comes right down to it, you are the only warrior you can depend upon. Go try on your skinny jeans that do not fit, the ones that won’t go over your hips. Go put on your bathing suit and look at your image. Get mad at all the c*r*a*p…

As my Dr. Told me…eat less, move more. Just approaching 6 months and 50# reduced. Base your daily food on vegetables, fresh fruit, lean meats. Log ALL the foods you eat. Cut out ALL the sugar and processed foods. Start walking…15 minutes a day at the most brisk pace you can…work up to 45 minutes per day. Drink water and…

It does not benefit doctors to have their patience healthy. It is sick care not health care. They get paid more money to prescribe rX, which means the fatter and less healthy you become the more they make. The healthier you become the less your shopping supports big food. The healthier you become the less you support big…
