For two adults (no children), we spend about $500 per month on groceries. We live on the west coast & eat out about once per week (usually Chipotle, Subway, Sushi), etc.

We spend about $450-$500 per month and this includes toiletries & cleaning supplies (which we typically get at Costco, so we don't have to buy it often). We're a household of two (just me & the hubby) and we live in WA state. I think where you live also makes a huge difference on grocery cost.

I agree! Taking a quick glance at your diary it looks like you eat quite a bit of processed foods and eating out, those are the things that kill your sodium intake for the day. Try cutting back and see if that helps! :)

I don't work with food, but I work in an office where people bring cakes, donuts and cookies every single day. Just this morning they brought in mini cheesecakes for everyone. I may or may not of had 3 fudgesicles last night (120 calories for all 3), while yes, I was still under my calorie range, an apple could of did the job too, but I craving chocolate! haha.

I eat what I want on vacation, but try to stay active and typically I don't gain any weight. On my last vacation (a Caribbean cruise), I gained 3 pounds, which came off less then 2 weeks of me being at home. I get tall skinny vanilla latte's from Starbucks and they are only 90 calories! Starbucks has lots of skinny options that are 90-160 calories for the whole drink depending on the size! :)

I think she may have used weight watchers in the past or heard of it. On the new weight watchers program you can eat as many fruit & veggies as you'd like and they don't count towards your points. I've never used weight watchers new program but I have a few friends that do.
