  • We have a cat that will be 19 in May of this year! Her name is Mama Kitty, yet she's never had kittens! :)
  • He doesn't live here anymore, but Michael Moore is from the city I live in. His Dad still lives here in town and I see him pretty often!
  • Thanks for all the suggestions, they are much appreciated!! I think I'll try eating a little something before starting my workout, and see how that goes. I've always been more of a morning person, so that actually works out best for me. I've tried waiting until after work to do exercise, but I'm more apt to skip out on it…
  • That's great, and don't feel like "an emotional baby"! It's VERY exciting when you finally see the scale move down. Keep it up, and remember it's a slow process, but that just reinforces that it's going to stay off that much easier! Way to go, keep it up!!!
  • So far it's a little cloudy and breezy here in Davison Michigan! We're supposed to get some rain later today and rain all day tomorrow. Taking my son to his 1st soccer "class" this morning, and then might go look at a used car. We're down to one car right now and it's not going to work well for much longer! Hope everyone…
  • Good for you, being able to find something or someone that really motivates you is an awesome thing! Keep up the good work!
  • I don't blame you for not wanting to go a alone. I live in a city subdivision of a small town where not much happens. We're like a little Mayberry town! I've decided to go jogging around our block a few times in the morning (6am) and my husband was extremely mad at me when he found out. I figured he would be, so I took…
  • First and foremost I wish you all the best. As far as relating to this situation, I somewhat can. When my ex-husband and I got divorced, my son was only 3 months old. I was going through a lot of different emotions and it was really difficult. As my son got to be a year old and mobile, I found that I was getting very…
  • I am taking adipex right now. Just started last week, and so far so good! My doctor prescribed them to give me a jump start. I hit a plateau and was having a really hard time, so along with watching what and how much I'm eating and exercising, it should give me the boost I need. This is a short term help, definately not…

  • A day or two or three and always a dollar short.....story of my life! Is it too late for me to join the challenge?!?! Beginning in January, my plan was to loose 5 lbs a month, and was doing good until I tore a muscle in my lower back in February. I'm not going to stress about the 6 lbs I gained back during recovery…
  • I can totally relate! I am a PB lover as well. It's so bad that my husband calls it "PBT" peanut butter time. LOL! Good luck!
  • The Silversun Pickups have really been working for me lately!
  • I feel so invigorated to see this post, I've set a new years goal to run a 5K this summer! As of now I don't have anyone else to do it with me, which makes it a little harder to keep motivated, but I WILL DO IT!!! I've never done anything like this before and I'm so excited!! To be honest, I don't even know how far I can…
  • Welcome back, you made the first step!! Good luck to you! :flowerforyou:
  • Woo Hoo!!! Way to go...it sometimes takes awhile, but then it starts coming off and is so exciting!!! :drinker:
  • I would classify you as Active. Sounds like your moving for the better part of your day. I wouldn't worry too much about going over and/or under on your calories....I try to look at my overall week and make sure I'm as close to target as possible as far as how many calories I've eaten and burned. If you feel better at 1700…
  • I just read a post "Wii Fit Challenge" starts later this week....check it out!! :flowerforyou:
  • I'm in for sure! I love my wii fit, yet I don't get on it too often! I've never done a challenge on here.....are you going to make a thread to post on? Keep me informed, I'm game for sure!!
  • My suggestion would be to do a light workout the day before, but I'm still learning and I've never done anything like that. Sounds fun!!! Good luck!
  • Frog!
  • You've just found the best, most fun, entertaining place to help you loose weight!!! I never believed that it was as easy as counting calories and exercising, but once you get going, it really does work!!! It's a miracle!
  • Hey, 2 lbs in the 1st week?!?! You're doing great! I agree with jljohnson, the majority of people on here have probably lost weight before starting MFP and when entering your info, it suggests that you count those lbs as well! Personally...I didn't even come across MFP until I had lost 10-12 lbs. We're all doing…
  • Welcome!! I totally agree....this site is very cool...and very helpfull!

  • Awesome job with taking the 1st step and getting started! :drinker: Personally, the 1st couple of weeks, up to a month, are the hardest, but stick with it....you can do it!
  • Don't beat yourselft up. You did it once, you can do it again! Hopefully you know what you did wrong and can start back at the gym with a positive attitude that it won't happen again! Good luck! :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks! The majority of my workouts are cardio with some weight training (including situps, regular & reverse). I guess I'll just keep on keepin' on and be patient! Thanks again! :flowerforyou:
  • Yup, I'm down 20 lbs as of today!!! Here's my issue though....I can feel a big difference in my clothes, but my lower abs, that nasty unwanted pouch is still there and does not seem to be leaving. What is the best exercise to do to get it the heck out of here?
  • Good for you, and your hubby! Even if you don't post a lot on the messge boards, just reading some of the posts is sooo inspirational and filled with great information! It's no fun admitting that the hubby was right about something, but at least it was something beneficial!! :flowerforyou:

  • I completely agree with christy, a physical therapist is going to have tons of things you can do within your doctors "orders". Please follow those orders though...the doc gave them to you for a reason!
