  • I've been an overeater, more specifically Binge. I weighed 99kgs. Believe it or not, the key is in controlling the sugars. Now-a-days, we've sugar in almost each and everything. The best way to lose the fat is to control the sugar intake and have a caloric restriction. From 99kgs I came down to 74kgs (a total loss of…
  • Till now I've lost exactly 20 kgs and need to reduce another 12 kgs. Believe me, fat loss, happens with Calorie deficit and calorie deficit only. Out of this 20kgs lost, much of the time, I never hit any gym and just control my food intake, even though, I don't count the calories now. I've come from 38" size jeans to 30"…
  • Hi kwrecks, For me FOOD is my life, my world, main part of my Day (Everyday). Can’t stop eating, when I get something I like so much. Just can’t stop it :-( I feel that I’m missing my LIFE, missing something very important, whenever I be on a FAST Day or try to control the Portions. I just stuff myself more than I’m full,…
  • Hi, I've been doing 5:2 from the past 1.2 months. I've cut down my calories on NF days to 1200 and on Fast days to 600. I've been losing 1 kg/week.
  • Hi, Am T2D from the past 4 years. There's been a lot of research around about reversing the T2D with Fasting (Intermittent Fasting). I've been doing this IF and am very successful in controlling the BS levels without any medication now.

  • Thank you. I got a gap of few months in between, before which, I used to do good cardio, with treadmill running and jumping jacks. But then, its been around 4 months, i didnt do anything and just started couple of days before. So, i will take it slowly (not to injure myself) and then may be increase.

  • Yeah ofcourse, and it mostly depends on the individuals (if they are too obese or not), but overall, yeah, we too have sore legs and shins too. But, consistently, they just fade off. Good luck :)

  • Thanks a lot. In fact, back in India (few months ago) I was regularly doing heavy cardio (on treadmill for 45-60 mins) but then, the time I moved to Paris, i just stopped it. Became a bit lazy.. :-) You're right. I'll take it bit slowly initially, but then, now I started directly with W5D1 and it was good. I didnt feel any…

  • Hi, Last year I was regularly on it, but then lost touch. Last week, I downloaded again, this time to make it more serious. One thing I wanted to know is, is anyone doing this program daily or just 3 days/week as mentioned? Since, I'm in Obese category, I wanted to know, if running daily, would cause any injury to legs or…

  • For dumbell, its the weight distributed across evenly which is mentioned on it. But, in case of barbell, if you add 5 lbs on each side, in fact you're lifting 10lbs + weight of the barbell. So, in order to get the full weight, you goanna need to weigh the empty barbell and then add it to the weights that you add upto.
  • Thanks a lot! I will follow the same.
  • Hi, Its a pretty much common issue with many of us here. What is more important is to sustain the activities. I'm on a similar path and in the process to loose around 10kgs more. First of all the main key is the HEALTHY NUTRITION, and then sustained Workouts. Remember one thing that, the weight loss (Fat loss) is always…
  • Hi, Went through your diary and couple of things caught my attention. Losing weight, if is the main goal, then its very important to control the Sugar intake. 1) I see that you're consuming more sugar which is not good, as this adds more weight to you. Try to limit the sugar intake. If not, this will for sure, hamper your…
  • Eating right food is as important as doing right exercise. I completely can understand your situation. I too am in the flow to loose another 10 kgs (lost 6 kgs before) and believe me eating is very important if you are pretty serious in your goals. Usually when I face such situations, I try to remember my goals and control…
  • Hi, When such things happen, that means 1) You've lost most of the Water Weight 2) Lost a substantial amount of Muscle As, If its the Fat loss, then you're assured to have decrease in the body measurements. Best thing for you would be to keep up with very good nutrition and also start weight (resistance) training. This…
  • Hi, Sugar is one of the biggest culprits for weight gain (or weight loss stagnation). Try to avoid sugar from refined products, whereas consumption of little sugar from natural fruits (Apple, Banana etc) is fine. One of the major reasons for Plateau is decreased metabolism due to continuous consumption of calories below…
  • l love Greek Salad very much and is quite easy to prepare. On top of that, its very healthy with Olives/Olive oil and Feta Cheese.
  • Whey Protein, or in general, any kinda protein helps you for basic building blocks of your body (cells). Its very good to consume calories which come from Protein, more, rather through Carbs or Fats.
  • First of all, determine your Daily Calorie Intake and then based on that you need to cut down few calories (max 100 cal/day). Coming to workouts/exercise, its always advisable and recommended that we should consume our Exercise Calories, if not you're creating a more deficit which inturn reduces your Metabolism.
  • Primarily, Fruits are very good source, in the sense of a) Not to increase the undesired fats (Trans Fat) b) Help in increasing the Metabolism which burns fat @ higher pace. But, also consider a) Replacing Lunch with Fruits, increases the Sugar level in the Body, which isn't good. Especially fruits like Banana etc,…
  • I'm basically a vegetarian and now a days am mostly turing on raw foods. I mostly consume one raw vegetable/fruit before the meal which helps to speed up the process of fat burn.
  • Hi schorlette, There are couple of things which I believe could help you on this journey. 1) Your initial weight loss, if you haven't tried before, would be fast, as most of it would be water loss. 2) Then your actual fat loss happens, which will seem to be in lesser pace than the initial water loss phase. 1) Try to cut…
  • Sweetness always add more calories either you use direct sugar or any sugar replacements. Try drinking Green Tea, without addding any sweetener. This will increase the chances of getting slimming down more rapidly. I've tried this and has seen the results.
  • Adding more and more stuff to Protein powder will eventually increase the overall calories that you intake. So, usually I try alternatively mixing Protein powder with Water or Soya Milk which doesnt add more extra calories.
  • Candi, I'm on to a serious weight loss plan and my list always is as follows 1) Fresh Raw Vegetables/Fruits (No frozen ones) - This will make sure than you burn more and more calories as the raw is always the one which takes more calories to get it digested. 2) Brown Rice 3) Brown Bread - Contains good amount of Protein 4)…
  • I mostly use Whey Protein morning and evening in a day. But, more than this, the best option would be to take the natural protein from Brown Rice, Brown Bread, Soya Milk, Roti (chapati), Egg whites, which i do usually in a day.
  • There was a time when I was so addicted with this diet stuff that i use to have minimum to 2-3 diet cokes/day. Now, i have a glass of Soya Milk which made my life more health and beautiful.
