You would definitely need to include some sleep time. If you don't wear it to bed, you'd end up using a calculator of some sort to estimate sleep calories (but they are the very things you're questioning!) I am interested in other's replies because I have thought of doing that in the past.... but I did conclude that, for…

Hello! Nice to 'meet' you. I'm Vanessa - 35 y/o. Feel free to add me if you need a friend to share your journey. My best tips are to log, log, log! Also, try and do some exercise a few times a week (if you don't already) and drink sufficient water! Good luck!

Hi! Congratulations to you both. Long term, if you're ring does end up a little big, it'll could always be held in place by the wedding band. Choosing a plainer band, by the way, will mean you can get it resized more easily. Plus, being a little big means it should still fit when you get pregnant. That said, I wouldn't…

I'm 5'1. I'm currently 133 and my goal is 119. I love having curves and my hips are wide (bone) so I can't see me getting much below 119 and maintaining easily but I guess I'll have a better idea if when get nearer! To be honest, I don't mind being anywhere below 126 as long as I'm toned, which is what I'm working on the…

Different outfits and poses makes it harder for you to see, maybe. Personally, I say you look different in the abs and the bottom (from the side pics) and above the knees (front pic) Keep at it, you're doing great!

Snap! I use Berocca when I feel run down and have also noticed I don't get enough iron (green veg is good for that too, I think) so, when I remember, I take a multivitamin with added iron. Think my current one is from Tesco.

*Wave* Hello! You can so do this!! If you need a friend along the way, feel free to add me. I'm from the UK, I log every day... and I've lost around 30lbs from my heaviest weight. It can be done, and it can be fun along the way! I was a member of WW too! The community here is way better and a great motivation and, with the…

Hi Sam.... Just wanted to say Hello! Three boys under five must certainly be a challenge. When my daughter was that young, I didn't really get out much and, consequently, I'd feel down sometimes. Getting on here seems to be a good start in doing something for you though! So, good luck with your journey and, if you need a…

Hello Kate! My tip is log everything! Seeing your foods in black and white really helps you to learn what you could be doing better. You can do this - stay on it, concentrate on one day at a time. It soon builds up... and feel free to add me if you need some support and motivation. I'm from the UK too.

Welcome to MFP!! Feel free to add me. I'm 34 and live in the UK. I don't really dish out advice... I'm no expert! But I can offer support and encouragement and I do try to offer some ideas when asked, perhaps!!

Tesco had some cheap'er' HRMs with chest straps, I saw the other day. I use a Garmin Forerunner 110 and I LOVE it. Incidentally, I burned 395 this morning in 50 mins with cooldown, whereas you'll find others posting results way higher so it really is a good idea to get a HRM so you know what YOUR body is doing, as we all…

Hi Marcelee123 I take my fitbit off when I do cardio too. For one reason, I do this because I use a HRM with a chest strap which I know will be more accurate and, for another reason, it also gives me a chance to charge the fitbit!

You aren't really piglet...

For me, personally, I used to take half way between the two and I'd always eat back the lesser of the numbers.

My daughter, at 7, came out in chicken pox.... in the same week as having her tonsils out! It was not the slightest bit of fun and I know that it generally gets worse, the older the child, so I sympathise with you a lot. My daughter isn't the best eater at the best of times and she didn't eat for days. All I could do was…

Welcome! I'm still fairly new but feel free to add me! I'm a UK based, 30-something female with about 20lbs to shift! ...

37lbs lost - That's fantastic and I like your dedication!

I would definitely recommend a Shock Absorber Women's Run Sports Bra... I'm pretty sure you can get them in the States. My first one was a 34F and, before I bought it, I felt miserable and uncomfortable when I was skiing so the thought of running wouldn't have crossed my mind. After I bought one, I was running up to 5k…

"I feel drastically different. Better outlook, wearing nicer clothes, happier. Even my hair looks better. " That's a MILLION times better than a one liner from anyone - Let's face it, that would only affirm what you already know! Chin up! Keep focusing on doing it for you! ;-)

Best of luck - I'm partly here for family history reasons too. Diabetes, heart attacks, high cholesterol - these are all illnesses that I don't want to inherit and shouldn't have to if I pay attention to what I'm eating! This site is great. Hopefully, you'll get on well with it. Logging everything helps you to see where…
