  • My ideal I thought would be somewhere around 170ish, I'm 5'8.5" with a large frame. But after talking with my trainer I think I'm more aiming for a healthy 25 - 28% body fat. At this point I'll be jumping for joy when I get below 200.
  • Feel free to add me, I'm down twenty-five so far but have started least a hundred to go. I've gotten to the point where I am bound and determined to do it this time. MFP is an awesome community, there is so much support and variety of ways people are getting it done that there really is something for everyone here.
  • Vancouver calling in, I'm still waiting for summer to arrive.
  • I like a Luna bar post workout, little bit of carbs, little bit of protein and so yummy.
  • Congratulations, you've made an amazing progress, very inspiring. I'm looking forward to the day I can sit comfortably on the plane, lower the tray table and enjoy the flight!
  • Working out with my trainer earlier in the week he kept saying "don't touch your face" when I would try to wipe the sweat away. The cleaner in the spray bottles they have is strong stuff but doesn't quite clean everything so the bacteria that does stick around on the machines is pretty gross stuff. Wash your workout…
  • Try the herb "senna", I've found it in both capsule and tea forms in drugstores and natural food stores. I've found it to work quite well.
  • Aspartame is nasty stuff, many people are allergic and have other reactions to it, just like they do to dairy, nuts, strawberries, etc. However those things are natural, aspartame is anything but natural. If you look into the history it's sketchy how it ever received FDA approval. I'll try and find the info and post it.
  • That sounds awesome, peanut butter fluff, I've got to try that.
  • That's a puzzle, over the years I've been doing it (with the same scale, a Tanita bodyfat percentage one) I'm consistently heavier at the end of the day. I use my just before bed weigh in for MFP to give a true reading. Generally I'll be twoish pounds lighter if I weigh first thing in the am. I also don't tend to weigh…
  • Hi Marisposa, feel free to add me, I'm in it for 100ish pounds too.
  • Hi Laura, we can all use more friends to help us out along the way! Feel free to add me, I've got at least 100 to lose.
  • Great advice MrsBully, that's something I've been wondering about too. I wasn't looking forward to a tummy tuck after battling so hard to lose the weight. Anyone have any recommendations on the sort of lotion to use????
  • I'm in, I've got 100+ to lose and am bound and determined this time around. Everyone feel free to add me, the more support and accountability the better!
  • Welcome, I'm sure you'll love MFP. The diary is so easy to use and I haven't come across a food yet that's not listed (or close enough to count). It's a very supportive community, you'll find lots of information, tips and tricks too. WW never worked very well for me, I think I tried it three times, I couldn't handle the…
  • That's a terrific start, way to go. I'm in the same boat with 100 or so to lose. I recently had my epiphany moment, facing my 20 year reunion at the end of the summer and I thought OMG, I don't want to look like this anymore. My caloric intake is similar to yours 1200 - 1500, I find I'm actually having a hard time eating…
  • Congrats, that's awesome!

  • That sounds yummy, I love Lawry's garlic salt. For some reason they don't sell it in Canada anymore so my sister brings it back whenever she goes across the border. The best salad dressing is a bit of oil, white vinegar and Lawry's garlic salt - tossed on some iceberg lettuce with green pepper and mushrooms, yum yum.
  • This is a great idea, years ago when I was giving weight watchers a try the leader brought in a pound of butter and drummed it into us that basically every time we lose a pound that is exactly what we are losing. I still remember and think that I am carrying all that "butter" fat around every day.
  • I do a cleanse every spring, there are lots of naysayers here when it comes to cleansing but I love how well I feel afterwards. I don't do the cleanses for weightloss, but do it to get me back on track, eating properly and REALLY watching what I eat. You can't argue with the amount of energy I have, my skin clears up, my…

  • Such an inspiration, big congratulations, the pictures are amazing.
  • You betcha, I'm in for 100+ in the long term. I'm trying to break it into smaller chunks so it seems more attainable. If I can lose thirty lbs by September's I'll be off to a good start. Feel free to add me.
  • Welcome Olga this is a great sites, MFP is full of wonderful and supportive people. We're all in this together. I'm hoping in the long term to be able to lose 100+ too,but my short term goal is 30 by the end for summer. Feel free to add me.

  • Mmm pistachios are so good, and I love a snack you have to work to get to. Even though they're easy to crack that little effort of opening the shell makes me so much more aware of how many I'm eating...especially when I look at the pile of discarded shells.
  • Feel free to add me. I've come and gone from MFP a few times over the last year. I've just signed up for three months of personal training to try and get me motivated to make it to my goal, long term goal is to lose 100lbs.
  • Feel free to add me, I'm back on the bandwagon and looking to lose 100 pounds in the long run.
  • I've just jumped back on the bandwagon, feel free to add me.
  • Feel free to add me, we're stronger in this together!
  • I don't think cleanses are bunk, personally I ate such crappy food for so long I'm sure my body is teeming with toxins. Most of us on this site have spent most of our lives eating poor quality processed foods, if we hadn't we wouldn't be here. There are cleanses out there that are gimmicky and promote weight loss but there…
  • I did the Clean Program, last year. I didn't buy their supplements or shakes, did my research and found my own substitutes at the natural grocery. It was great, very easy and surprisingly I was never hungry. At the end of the three weeks I had lost about eight pounds but more importantly I was sleeping much better, my skin…
