I love zumba good cardio workout, allows me to eat a good diet without gaining any weight... but have fallen out with my HRM as it tells me I'm only burning about half the calories the zumba web site says..:(

I log flax seeds etc. but not capsules/tablets they do not show a calorie count and are probably less than 2 ml oil, I always try to allow myself about 50 cals for inaccuracies.

Love it with yogurt and walnuts, it's a natural product but be aware of the calories and enjoy in moderation !

This is a new lifestyle challenge for most people, I go by the rule 80% healthy and 20% (indulgence foods) so don't cut out the foods you love just try to moderate them to make sure you have healthy protein to build muscle and plenty of macro nutrients in your healthy food choices. Good luck

I have the zumba DVD's and like the idea of 30 mins a day for 31 days so I'll be joining this challenge if that's OK

British scales are usually in stones and Kgs, I always use the stones reading and convert, if you are only losing 1 lb a week its easy to keep track.

try zig zagging your calories over a seven day period it will stop your metabolism from stalling and eat some of your exercise calories back don't let your net calories fall below 1200 except on a couple of days if they are followed by high calorie days.

Cinnamon ( google it to check it out ) is said to help minimise glucose spikes. it maybe worth a try and cut out sugar and sugar substitutes if possible keeping sweeteners to less refined options ie honey and molasses.

yes walking is great and do not eat below your BMR its not good for you so grab yourself a pack of fruit, apples are great and have one as a snack instead of a biscuit, there are lots of seasonal fruit coming in so make the most of them and even tinned veg is better than no veg. keep at it you will get there :)

agree with elmars13 I have lost about 36 lbs and was looking really wrinkled being of a certainage when one tends to wrinkle but I am begining to firm up noe I am in the normal catagory and say it will improve give it time your skin needs to regenerate and catch up with you weight loss

I agree one day a week a 14-16 hour or even 24 hour fast will have all positive results wish I could stick to it I struggle with 12 hour fasts.

pack healthy snacks, try to eat healthy food if you have to eat out and try not to worry, hope all goes well

depends on your daily allowance if you are eating at 1200-1400 calories it means you are consistantly under 1200 watch your metabolism doesn't go into starvation. If you are doing zig zag calories with a couple of high days and a couple under 1000 you should be OK

I've never been able to do push ups so I started with vertical ones against the wall now I can do then using the table and keeping my body inclined and in a straight line. The flab is not going but the muscles underneath are feeling firmer.

I've lost 35 lbs over 9 months, I am finding its a question of balance I must exercise if I want to eat well and I must eat less if I want to eat food that is higher in calories than I would like. A chocolate protein bar cut into small pieces and kept in the fridge. The chocolate will satisfy and the protein will keep you full for longer, a bar lasts me 4-5 days about 70 cals and also a couple of pieces of dark chocolate (lifelong chocaholic)
