  • I have always heard that you should eat your exercise calories. The body needs the extra fuel to run properly.:drinker:
  • I have the same issue...I think it matters where the sugar comes from too. I eat alot of fruit and that is usually the reason I go over on sugar. I imagine it will hinder my wight loss somewhat.
  • I know what you mean. I also experienced the "cold shoulder" from some of my close friends at first. I do think they get tired of hearing about how great we feel about our accomplishment. I had to step back a take a look at my own behavior to make sure that I was not acting too vain and cocky, which is easy to do when you…
  • I have the same problem - I like Blue Diamond Almond Breeze (milk) the unsweetened original has only 40 cals and 20 calcium and 0 sugar in a 1 cup serving.
  • Like this! :flowerforyou:
  • I also love my Reebok with a chest strap, it was alot cheaper and it works great!

  • I have been staying away from "bread" for years, if I do eat bread I eat Ezekiel Bread which is from sprouted wheat and gluten free. If I make an exception and eat "bread" I almost always regret it. Good luck with your bread free mission, I think it is a good decision. :drinker:

  • Did you enter all of your info? age and weight? I have the same one and it always shows that I burn much more on my elliptical then the machine does. I suggest going through the programming routine and make sure you enter all of your data. Hope this helps:flowerforyou:
  • I had mine done three years ago. It was the best thing I have ever done!!
  • There is one on buy.com for $39.64 it has the chest strap and the list of features looks good too. I purchased mine (Reebok) from buy.com and paid $30 I love it! http://www.buy.com/prod/heart-rate-monitor-watch/q/loc/66357/203475151.html As long as you can program it and it has a chest strap it should monitor your heart…

  • I have a Reebok one that I purchased on Buy.com for $29.99 and I LOVE IT! It has the chest strap and a watch. It seems very accurate when I check it against my elliptical machine.
  • Where I come from it is called a bismarck YUMMO!
  • Just start by keeping track of your food, it really helps you to begin thinking about your food intake and helps you plan your meals ahead of time. Welcome and Good Luck! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • Welcome! The best advise I can think of for 12 hour nights is to plan ahead. I don't work nights, but I plan my food the night before. This way I don't overeat. Once you make it through a few weeks you will have a pretty good routine down. This site is wonderful for that. Good Luck:drinker:
  • Welcome - MFP has been a wonderful tool for me. Good Luck and Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!:flowerforyou:
  • Obviously it would be great if we could buy everything organic and locally grown. Here is a good link on which fruits and veggie that absorb the most pesticides and should be purchased organic. http://www.thoughtfullysimple.com/10-fruits-vegetables-you-should-buy-organic/ Baby Steps:love:
  • This is a great idea! I have heard of Sweet Potato Fries, but not Squash Fries. I will have to try them! Thank you:flowerforyou:
  • Welcome Back!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
  • I sprinkle lemon pepper and dill weed over mine and bake. Real easy and yummy!
  • WELCOME and CONGRATS! :drinker:
  • YOU GO GIRL!!:drinker:
  • I agree with your friend. Eventually you will be happy with the scale if you just keep it up and if you are happy with your "body image" who cares what the scale says. Chin up!:flowerforyou:
  • One way to test it is to drop one into a glass of water, if it dissolves rather quickly, then it should do the same inside of your body. Alot of the vitamins we take are never absorbed and just pass through our system. :noway: :drinker:
  • A good vitamin should be made from real food sources to be properly absorbed. I like Standard Process brand.
  • Are you eating enough protien and carbs? Maybe you are eating too many empty calories and your body is unable to burn anything. Just a thought, I'm no expert:wink:
  • That sounds good....actually they are not that bad for a treat after all it is a fresh strawberry with only a small amount of chocolate on it. I say go for it!
  • Well Said!:flowerforyou:
  • I work out first. I agree it is not good to workout on a full stomach. Does anyone know if it is a bad idea to postpone breakfast until after the workout? I think the recommendation is to eat within an hour of waking................:noway:
  • I exercise and drink water:drinker: :drinker: :drinker:
