I believe that natural occurring sugars that you find in fruits are fine to eat as long as that's not the only thing you eat. I'd much rather eat a banana and get the added vitamins than a cookie or some low fat junk with lots of sugar in it that contains more 'bad stuff'. And of course some FOODS are worse than others -…

No. Having a cheat day will make you think and feel about food in an unhealthy way. Eat what you want and be reasonable about it. A cheat-day indicate that the whole day will be ruined instead of enjoying meals and the odd 'crave'. Good luck!

You can do loads of things with spinach, smoothies, omelettes, bread, stews etc etc. Spinach is basically tasteless when its fresh so you can incorporate it in so many meals. Oatmeal mixed with eggwhites and banana or mixed with fresh berries or any kind of fruits. I also like to have omelet for breakfast or fried egg whites if I got it stocked up. Weetabix with fresh fruit and skim milk. Smoothie.

As a dental hygienist to be in the future, I recommend you to drink a lot of water and also to keep your mouth hydrated with ex oils, this to prevent caries. I hope your tastebuds will come back to normal sooner rather than later.
