You can do this! It takes time to really set good habits. Keep plugging away at logging your food regardless of what the total is. Just do it. Eventually it does become a normal part of your day. I've been at this a long time now. I reached my goals one day at a time, and there were times when it got hard. That's when I'd…

I've gotten that response from a couple of family members myself. Questions on how much more weight I think I need to lose, opinions on the validity of the standard BMI charts, etc.. My standard response is "my doctor says I'm at a good weight and that I'm more healthy than ever". I believe in some cases it's just hard for…

Congratulations! Keeping the weight off - extra kudos! I'm down 143 pounds over three years, and am learning the ins and outs of maintaining the loss. Stories like yours are so inspiring and helpful. :-)

Flavor infused balsamic vinegars! Oh man, full of flavor and low cal. My favorite is dark cherry infused balsamic on nearly any green salad. And on fruit salads...chocolate infused balsamic. Soooo good!

Mostly it's genetics and your age. I'm down 140+ pounds and have loose skin on my stomach, arms, thighs and face. I lost my weight over 3 years time, so I consider that's 'slow'. But, I have to be honest- I'll take the fat loss over loose skin ANY DAY. Feels so wonderful to be fit and healthy. Nice Spanx undergarments help…

What?! The older you get the BETTER sex can be! Fewer inhibitions, no worries about pregnancy, much more likely to communicate freely and openly with your lover. It just gets better and better. Ask any 80 yr old man who is still sexually active. ;)

Because I wanted to live to see my 60s. Seriously- I was almost 300 pounds and I smoked 3 packs of Marlboro's each day. I was on high blood pressure meds and so close to diabetes. Through the encouragement and advise of my fabulous doctor, I knew it had to be a total lifestyle makeover and it would have to be forever. Of…

I'm still a work in progress...I will be forever. But I did hit my goal in December after nearly 3 yrs of logging my food and exercise. Down 145 pounds! Oh...I turned 60 last month.

If you do anything long enough it just becomes a habit. The first 30 days were a bit confusing, but I got used to it. Now, it's just something I do everyday. Takes me no longer than 10 minutes per day, probably less. But oh man, the results ARE worth it.

Day 1136 for me! Down 145 pounds, maintaining since December...+ or - 4 pounds. If I hit the upper limit of the range I'm back to deficit eating.

I strive for 100,000 steps per week. That averages out to 14,000 per day. Some weeks I've missed the mark, others I surpass my goal. Today, I'm just over 10,000....it was raining all damned day! I have my fitbit alarm set to nudge me if I've not moved in each hour, so I'll get up from my computer and jog in place for 10…

Congratulations! It's not an easy thing to do...change one's entire lifestyle. You've shown it's possible. Way to go.

A milestone indeed!! Well done, and no doubt you'll reach your goal. Congratulations.

Look at those arms!! Fantastic! Impressive accomplishment, and you're proof that the effort of calorie counting and exercise DO pay off. Well done!

Ants! <shiver> If I see even ONE tiny little ant in my house I will spend the next half hour searching for more. Other insects don't bother me one bit, just those creepy crawly teeny tiny ants.

The simple beauty of math! Thank you!

Definitely air popped popcorn + a non calorie fizzy drink. The combo fills me up like crazy! 4.5 cups of popped corn is a LOT for 150 calories.

Yay! You've taken the first and most important step---deciding to make changes. The one thing I wish I'd done when I started here 3 yrs ago was to take my body measurements before I began losing weight. If you stick with the logging of food and exercises every day, by the end of the first month it will become so much…

Fantastic progress! Keep on doing what you're doing and you'll no doubt reach your goal. I imagine you feel so much healthier too. Well done!

I'm into my 4th year of logging, exercising, etc...and believe me- You HAVE to change things up and really challenge yourself once in awhile because boredom, lack of enthusiasm, and just a general sense of "meh" or doubt creeps in. I have the three Ds that I follow: Determination Dedication Discipline If you have…

Does Ebay count? I ordered a vintage Troll key chain for my son's GF. I paid $12 for something that probably sold for 59cents originally. :/
