  • WTH? Your coworkers sound like awful people. If you are willing to be bold, tell them plainly and frankly that you are taking your health quite seriously and that their comments are not welcome. If that doesn't shut them down, I'd go to HR. They should not be commenting on your body at all. Especially in such a way.
  • They can be a sign of anxiety which is not always accompanied or caused by stress! They can also happen as a reaction to certain medications (decongestant, for example, causes them in a lot of people). They can also be a symptom of very or chronically low blood sugar.
  • None. Bond together by stealing everything not nailed down!
  • Anything implying the only way to stay fit is to eat pure raw locally-grown all-organic natural foods planted in fresh virgin dirt and watered with the baptized tears of vegan angels
  • If you have a "spicy tooth" and you're feeling lazy, try plain ol' cooking it and stirring in several drops of your favourite hot sauce. :) Gives it a nice kick.
  • Grilled chicken and veggies on a pita (or hold the pita and just use lettuce as "bread" if you're trying to go REALLY low-cal) Tuna sandwich (light mayo in the tuna for lower cals, or no mayo at all!) Stir-fried veggies in teriyaki sauce Canned light soups (entire cans of soup for only about 200 cals! Yum!) Bean or lentil…
  • If you're worried about jiggling in other places, perhaps try some sturdy compression workout wear?
  • I usually go with what my body is telling me. If I'm hungrier than normal, I eat. If I'm not hungry, I don't force myself. I figure it more or less knows what it needs for whatever is wrong.
  • RE: the UK sizes, I believe it's a UK size 3 or so.
  • 5'4", currently 156, jean size 14 Goal weight is 130 or so.
  • I don't usually look at food diaries but I did look at one of someone's and it was literally, no lie, fast food, pizza, and cherry pie every single day. I keep clicking back through the days thinking surely, surely I've just caught this young lady during a binge week and she doesn't always eat like this! But nope. Pizza,…
  • But I love Jersey Shore! Those people are so different from anything I've ever encountered, it's like watching a Sci Fi!
  • I am 5'4". I started at 196.5, I am currently 159, my "soft" goal is 130. I call it soft because I've never been near that small at my adult height, so I have no idea how I'll look and feel when I get there. So that goal might raise or lower once I start getting closer to it.
  • Definitely try different necklines! I'm only a C (sometimes D depending on brand) but I do find I look I look heavier and bulkier when I wear regular T-shirts - the ones with the simple round collar sitting right at the neck. I've found V-necks and boat-necks and florentine necklines make me look like I've lost 10 pounds…
  • You know those gigantic black vinyl pants they sell at places like Hot Topic with the wiiiide, straight legs and with straps and buckles all over them? Yeah, saw a dude jogging on a treadmill in those.
  • I'm sure they're probably just proud of their hard work and want to show it off! Nothing wrong with that.
  • He should definitely just talk to her himself. If he just is honest and tells her he's a bit shy, she might even be charmed by it!
  • I keep my whole seeds in an airtight container in the cupboard, and then every Sunday I measure out a week's worth of seeds, mill them, and transport the powder to an airtight container in the fridge. However if I were going to mill a huge amount all at once (enough that I couldn't use the powder up in a week's time) I'd…
  • Some people are extremely sensitive to caffeine.
  • Try doing them on an inflatable exercise ball with the small of your back pressed into the ball, maybe? That way your lower back is supported.
  • I work out the same amount, but I definitely get tired and achey more easily.
  • Think of it this way...if you couldn't even do a minute before, and now you're up to eight minutes, than you're over eight times better than you were! That's pretty impressive. Keep at it!
  • Mostly I get comments from family. It drives me nuts when I spend days and days eating healthy and turning down all their snacks and fatty dinners, and then I allow myself a treat...and they immediately say "Oh, so I guess the diet's over now?" or "I guess you gave up the healthy eating thing, huh!" Uh....no, I didn't. I'm…
  • Zumba can be really fun! A good instructor usually works somewhere around the middle, that way people can modify to make things more or less challenging depending on their skill and fitness levels.
  • I used to use one. I should buy a new one and use it again. Once you learn to put it in correctly (which admittedly for me took a couple days) you only feel it as much as you'd feel a tampon. Less, even, because you can feel tampons after a while when they get "full" and expand, whereas the cup is the same size the whole…
  • My personal top five to always have in the house (in no particular order): 1. Almonds (unsalted) 2. Soynuts (unsalted) 3. Eggs 4. Brown rice 5. Fruit! (bananas, apples, grapes, peaches, pears)
  • I'm so sorry to hear that. It's always hard to see a sweet little animal pass away. At least she had, I'm sure, a wonderful home with you during her time here. :)
  • It's sad that when a woman puts up photos of herself, people feel that's an invitation to immediately give their opinions on how she looks and what will or wont make her look like a "proper woman". This was a picture set to prove to other ladies that lifting heavy does not bulk up the average woman, and it illustrated that…
  • i think it does allow rudeness...but only from people who are already rude at their core. Many people still choose to be polite and kind despite their anonymity. I think anonymity also allows a sort of honesty (which indeed does encourage some rather impolite comments sometimes) which real life does not. It let's people…
  • That's so amazing! You must be really proud. Congratulations!
