  • I had started dating this guy I'm still with & he did not have his license, but I gave him opportunity to get it, and he wanted to make things fair....well, now he has to drive me around bc of my bum knee. If he is motivated, and you're not pulling all the weight, you will find your balance within the relationship.
  • Hey guys, I'm working on my weight while injured. I haven't found much in the way of cardio for myself, except the occasional trip to the store. I've got bad knees, and pending a surgery later this week. I was hoping to find some friends who have worked through or are working through similar issues. I am very artsy and…
  • welcome back! I was off for a couple years and here I am now back again!
  • Be honest with yourself and in the moment. :)
  • I like rice crackers. those have a lot for a small amount of calories. You can definitely try those!
  • I hear you, I gave up in in October actually. It was just after an injury. I just keep reminding myself, that it is the best present i can give myself, a healthier me. There are plenty of things in life I still want to do, and I want to make sure I can endure them all! My current goal is to get my legs (yes both of them)…
  • I exercise too. it helps with endorphins. maybe you have too much on your plate right now. or find some time to relax.
  • I've been looking too, using this site to help. http://www.consumersearch.com/heart-rate-monitors
  • Congrats!! It's a nice feeling! :) I'm at a similar point. If I don't wear a belt, I am not wearing most of my clothes. I currently have one pair of jeans that fit perfect, and a couple tops. I need to invest in some more clothes! :) What a wonderful feeling isn't it?
  • Congradulations. You get it. Not a lot of people get what "diet and exercise" mean. Its keeping your self healthy. It's important to do so for yourself. Especially because you are the one in control of what happens to your own body. So, All in all you deserve a big 'Kuddos!!' from your friends and family for finally doing…
  • they might have specific shoes they want you to wear for a number, or you might end up barefoot, so go with sneakers, and wait until you get placed. Dancing is so fun!! :)
  • I think that old habits can come and creep up on you, yes. You are in control of your own fate. If you don't like your fate, change it. Thats what everyone here on mfp is doing. So if you mess up few times along the way, its not setting you back to before, unless you don't learn from it. We're here dealing with our vices,…
  • Cool! :) Remember Elevators are so overrated!!!
  • Welcome! Well,I'm 24, and would like to be healthy by 25. I've been struggling forever too. :) Slowly, you'll take off the weight, and get yourself fit, you just need a little motivation, and action!! Like I said, welcome to the site! start building up your friends list for support!! :)
  • I'm from New England and have worked in daycare programs for a couple of years now. We've had 2-3 Lelani's come and go of an race or color. If it fits her, there's no reason not to name her Lalani!
  • If you want to cry, watch King Corn. I found that with an allergy to corn and corn derivatives, King Corn was a little bit too much for me. I would suggest to start out with the Documentary called "Food Inc." It gets past the boring part, and shows what too much corn does to any animals diet. It's kinda gross. I also came…
  • Corn was one of the biggest crops grown in the US in the early 1900s. We have an extensive amount still being grown here in the US. They are trying to figure out what to do with the crops, so they put it into everything. Foods, paper towels, cell phones, water bottles, you name it. It's hard for it to not be anywhere. I…
  • Allergy to corn. It stinks. Anyone else?
  • I can relate a bit due to my allergy to Corn. Corn is in EVERYTHING (especially processed foods). It seems like there's no way out, and it's a constant struggle. I'm sure you must feel the same way. One of my struggles was to get the bad stuff. It's hard. My best advice would be to prep meals ahead of time. Can you…
  • i put it under aerobic dancing. :/

  • Look out for Dr Oetker's Brownie mixes, it has minimal sugar, and tastes great!!! :)
  • Zumba (spanish dancing gone fitness) is a great way to work on those abdominal muscles because it helps you strengthen your core. I stopped going for a couple weeks to try out sweep rowing, and well, my stomach was back fluff. I went back this week, and the place I feel the work out most is in the abs area. So if you're…
  • Yes I can definitely relate! I grew up in a house where if you wanted or were craving a cake, you'd bake it. Then you'd have the rest of it laying around to eat. (my family's worst eating habit!) You have to do what's right for you, regardless of what other people say or do. Congratulations for unleashing that more…
  • Welcome Lisa! The first step is to want it, the next step is to do it! Good for you for signing up to make that a reality for yourself! :)
  • Welcome back Ann. I don't know if this will help with your exercise, but I try to think about it differently. Exercise time is the time of day you can do something for your body and yourself. I started by taking a walk to enjoy nature, and began to appreciate the world around. Although, I'm living in a city, I tried to…

  • Motivation should come from within you, but I'd love to try to help! :) you can do it!!
  • I'm a fan of baking it in garlic, rosemary and olive oil! So yummy!
  • I have heard a couple things to try, one of them I've done myself. 1. Take your inhaler before you go on a walk. 2. for me, I've pushed through it, working on controlling my breathing, if that doesn't work I take the inhaler afterwards. Now, I've got myself feeling ok to not need it. I hope I helped...:) Have a good one.
