  • Well I'm back. December is over. The Binge is at 0 again. This month I'm logging it all. I know that if I had kept checking in here last month the Binge would have lost its power over me. Today I'm going to concentrate on getting through today. Mo: 0 The Binge: 0 Happy New Year, all!
  • Time to 'fess up. I have been on a binge tear. Mo--4 Binge--5 (12/3,12/6,12/7,12/8,12/9) It's such a vicious cycle when it starts. Now I'm depressed, I'm not exercising, I'm eating crap, and that sick part of me doesn't want to stop the binge, even though I know I'll feel better if I do. I'm having a personal pity party…
  • I'm late with this post because I'm very disappointed in myself; I binged again last night. Who knows what tonight will bring? Mo--4 Binge--2 (12/3, 12/6)
  • Mo--3 Binge--1 (12/3)
  • Hi mblampton, I'm sending you a friend request. So sorry to hear about your diagnosis and return to chemo. I just finished chemo and will start radiation therapy in January. I've been wanting to swim -- I haven't done so far a number of years -- but I'm procrastinating now and blaming it on my lack of hair!
  • Hi di4me, welcome to the club all of us wish we didn't need to join. But I am SO glad this group is here! I'm sending you a friend invite. :)
  • Mo--2 Binge--1 It makes me so sad to give one to the Binge. :(. I didn't earn as many exercise points yesterday as I usually do, and when I got home last night after a band concert (I play flute), I went over my calories with a snack and then just kept going. My binge was about 2,700 calories - mixed nuts and then blue…
  • Mo---1 Binge---0 Starving, Binge?. GET USED TO IT!!!
  • Mo--0 Binge--0 Binge, it's even now but not for long! This month I hope to keep Binge away AND hit my goal weight for the first time in more years than some of my fellow Binge Slayers have been alive! :)
  • I'm another MFP Baby Boomer; 56 years old. With the help of MFP I'm just about at my goal weight. No more yo-yoing; those pounds are staying off! The support from my MFP friends (young and old) has been so helpful; anyone feel free to add me. :)
  • I did it! I've exercised every day since this challenge started and I feel terrific. :). I'm planning to keep my streak going right through the holidays!
  • November results: Me---30 The Binge---0 Yay! Take THAT Binge!! And stay away from me in December too! Last night Binge was working overtime trying to get in my mind after I had finished eating for the day. I don't know how to describe it - it's almost like a whirlwind in my brain - and all I can hear is EAT MORE! I…
  • Me---29 Binge---0 Today is the last day of the month? Wow! I'm both ELATED I'm almost at a month binge-free and STRESSED OUT by how behind I am at work! Deadlines!! (Telling myself that over-eating won't won't help get the work done.)
  • As of 11/28/2012: Mo--28 Binge--0 Wishing everyone a binge-free day!
  • Hi fellow shorties. :) I'm 5'2", 56 years old, and started out over 200 lbs in May 2011. I'm now 125 lbs; 1 pound to go! After decades of yo-yoing I'm confident I'm going to keep it off this time. I've finally accepted that my problems with overeating/binging are a disease I'm going to have to deal with forever. I'm not…
  • Hi, you've made great progress! I'm 56 - I've lost 79 pounds and have 1 more to go. I plan to stick with MFP to help keep the weight off! I'm going to send you an invite.
  • My goal is to lose the last pound and then maintain by continuing to eat healthily and exercise consistently.
  • Mo--27 The Binge--0 Still taking it a day at a time!
  • Hi y'all, I'm also part of the club no-one wants to join! I was diagnosed last June; I had surgery in July (lumpectomy) and I finished chemo last week! I'll be starting radiation treatments in January. NewMeJC, love the way you out it; I'm going to smack cancer and fat in the face right along with you!
  • I was diagnosed last June - can I call myself a survivor yet?? I had a 6-month follow-up mammogram on my right breast; it was fine. The cancer was in my left breast. I had a lumpectomy and sentinel node removal in July - the surgery went well; clean margins, no cancer in the lymph node. I had convinced myself I wasn't…
  • Mo--26 Binge--0 I had trouble dragging myself out of bed this morning - now I'm behind with my walking. Binge, you're not going to convince me that's an excuse to give in!
  • Mo--25 Binge--0 Those of you who have given in to the binge, I admire you SO MUCH for coming here and writing about it. What I usually do when I give in is disappear - I don't post, I don't log, I just eat in isolation. By "fessing up'" you're helping all of us, and hopefully yourselves too. {{{cyber hugs}}} to everybody!
  • Good morning everyone! It's a new day; I'm just going to concentrate on getting through it binge-free. One day at a time, as I learned in OA! Mo--24 Binge--0
  • Smokey and Patster, I'm going to take both of you up on your offers and add you as friends. :)
  • I'm still hanging in there - haven't missed a day. My exercise is mostly walking and some running. My Runkeeper app told me today I've hit a new weekly distance record. Yay! I'm still not as consistent as I'd like to be with strength training, but I'll get there.
  • AlethaMary, I don't think it's failing when you take time off because you're sick! I hope you feel better soon.
  • My worst binges by far are when I'm home alone. Day after day, sweet and salty, as much as I can stuff in. I also manage to eat a lot in front of other people - I pretty much finish off the tortilla basket by myself when out with others at a Mexican restaurant. I'd like to be writing this in past tense, but I don't know if…
  • It's nice to have something in common with my MFP friends. Sometimes it's age or sometimes it's a particular challenge (ie I have issues with binge eating). Sometimes it's just admiration for someone who is committed to getting and staying healthy; maybe I can learn something! I really appreciate the support and motivation…
  • Mo--23 Binge--0 I went over my MFP calories a little yesterday, and Binge was trying to convince me that was a good reason to give him free reign. Why not REALLY blow it??I didn't give in to him though; this thread kept me from doing it. I didn't want to have to post a point for him this morning!
  • I'm going through treatment for breast cancer right now - I just finished chemo and will start radiation in January. I haven't had any significant weight issues wih it yet, but after losing a large amount of weight before being diagnosed, I am rather concerned about gaining it back.
