It's gotta be super crispy- with no wobble, but not burnt. I've sent my bacon back more than once.

This will depend on your activity settings in MFP. If you are set as sedentary/lightly active/active etc, that will dictate the expected daily calorie burn. Fitbit works in conjuction with the MFP app to estimate the overall daily caloric burn by using negative calorie adjustment. Basically, it will only start adding…

After my car accident, my neuro recommended high dose fish oil to help recover from a brain injury. I was taking Alterra Neuromega - Omega 3 5000mg 1tsp = 41 calories/5gr fat.

I'm partial to the Labrada Lean Body carbwatchers. They're filling and tasty.

Having just recovered from a nasty bout of ulcers/esophageal damage, all I can recommend, is stick to minimal spices, lower fat, low sodium. Say goodbye to coffee, chocolate and wine for a long while. I was grateful for the Dexilant. It helped get through the worse of the pain and inflammation and let me enjoy my 2 weeks…

Having been there, I understand how hard it is to feel any motivation for change. Talk to your doctor, they may be able to provide some guidance or at the least refer you to someone that can assist in your recovery. Try focusing on the small things. Stretches in bed. If you feel up to trying...walk down the hall. Maybe a…

My mother is 11 years older than my father. They've been married for almost 58 years. Neither ever felt that the age difference was an issue. My mom jokes she should've picked a younger one so he'd be able to keep up with her.

Bagels. I love them, and had stopped eating them completely because at 5'3" and 1260 calories/day, it wasn't worth the spend. However, there are always alternatives. Check out Skinnytaste's recipe for "Easy Bagels"!! There was a thread here with so many of us happy about this discovery. 5 ingredients, super easy to make,…

Yikes!!! Hope that this *kitten* settles down and vamooses with the new treatment plan! Swift healing wishes to you!

From what I was able to find out at my local Costco, is that there was some sort of packaging/labelling issue, but they'll be restocking in the next few weeks. Not sure that I believe them, but am hopeful.

Anyone in the GTA been able to find the Kirkland Signature protein bars recently? I went to 2 separate Costcos in the west end of TO today, and was told they'd been pulled from the floor due to "packaging issues".

The alta doesn't count stairs. The new Versa does, but again, a wrist worn tracker. Maybe something like the Misfit shine, but not sure if it has an altimeter for stairs.

OP, I understand your pain and frustration, and instead of focusing on the things you can't control, i.e. genetics, focus instead on the things you can do. Get therapy to help sort out the feelings, do things that make you feel good about yourself or just make you feel good. I've seen this posted here and there over the…

The good news is that you are losing. Might be slower than you expect or would like, but it is still a positive step. Don't be rash and risk depriving yourself of nutrients.

My favourite response to this type of person is one I learned from a friend who hailed from southern U.S. "Bless her heart". OP, you got this. Just keep doing what you're doing.

If there's a French cruller...feel free to pass it my way!

Once you've entered all the ingredients in the recipe builder, weigh the entire meal on your food scale so you know the full weight of the meal. Then just weigh off what you've taken as a portion.

Congratulations on your 80 pounds lost! Fantastic achievement! I took a peek at your diary. With the last little bit of weight you need to really tighten up your logging and time to stop using generic entries day after day. (Not all bananas are exactly 126 grams) Set your loss for .5 lb/week, that will set you at a 250…

I'm sorry that you are hurting so deeply. I hope you are able to get the assistance you need to help sort things out.

Hubby just got his, he loves it!

It is possible that your age/weight/height setup on fitbit could be incorrect, or that your activity level set incorrectly as sedentary on MFP (or both?)
-
2 pounds a week with so little to lose is too aggressive and the expectation for that kind of loss is unrealistic and unsustainable as you are discovering. No wonder you feel miserable! @kommodevaran is bang on with their advice. Be patient, this isn't a race.

If you're unsure as to what weightloss goal you should be setting for yourself, a great rule of thumb that is posted often on the boards: If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5…

^^So much this!!!^^ Don't sweat the irregularities, we all have them. I am still pudgy, squishy and lumpy...it won't stop me from enjoying my time on the beach (and wearing that bikini, regardless whether some people think I shouldn't.)

Looking great!! Congrats on your loss!

Raw for all meats except bacon.

I took a peek at your food diary and noticed that you barely log on weekends, if at all. Assuming you eat on weekends, you are most likely decimating any deficit you create during the week.
-
MFP is runnning maintenance, so steps are not syncing right now.

Reduced calorie ice cream such as HaloTop or Breyers Delights or the Oreo thins! They hit the spot when I'm craving something sweet.
