I'm 5'5", can I be an amazon? :) I'm very solid for my height. I weigh more than I look so my almost unrealistic goal is 165. You can add me if you want. I've been off the wagon since Halloween and am trying to get back on.

I'm on a banana and peanut butter kick. 1tbsp of peanut butter and a banana is a little under 200cals and keeps me from eating junk after a run :)

Take it from me, running does absolutely nothing for the muscles in your thighs. My body shape is leaner, but no thigh muscles :( I've recently added squats and lunges with dumb bells to get some thigh toning and to strengthen the muscles above my knees. Good luck with the running, it's great :)

I'm a runner too. My story is a lot like yours. Started running at 260 and some change and HATED it. Now I've lost about 65lbs and love running. Feel free to add me :)

If you can only run on the treadmill try setting the incline on 2 or 3 to compensate for not being outside. I usually do half a mile flat and a little faster than normal and half a mile on 2 at my regular speed when I can't get outside.

I used to work with a girl from Great Britain and someone actually asked her if they had Thanksgiving over there. She said yes, they celebrated when the Pilgrams left :) Not really relevant, just thought that was funny:laugh:

I've been like this with my running lately. Hadn't really thought about how it might be the time of year affecting me. My body thinks it's supposed to be on vacation! :)

I've been running for over three years and have just recently gotten to where I don't sound like a dying buffalo when I run. Hang in there. That should get better with time :)

Yesterday was my anniversary and my hubby told me he'd been looking at old pics of us and he hadn't realised how much thinner I'd gotten :)

I do the zombie thing too. If it's kinda dark, I imagine zombies are waiting for me in the woods by the road and I have to get past them before they realize I'm there. This works really well at 6 in the morning when there are vague noises and I can't really see what they are :)

I've lost a total of 70lbs before and during MFP and all I do is run. I hate cross training :( Oh, and I also have some ab definition now and I never do crunches :)

I only want to talk to about three people about my weight loss. The questions usually stop when someone wants to know how I'm losing weight and I tell them I run 20 miles a week. I don't like attention being drawn to how I look. That should only matter to me and my husband and as long as we're happy I don't think it's…

You sure don't. A lot of people who sign up for 5K's walk/run the race. The only thing that matters is that you're out there doing it. Good luck :)

I googled how to tape my foot for plantar fasciitis when I run and also bought some Altras. That has helped me :) I also try to keep an anti-inflamatory in me round the clock when it really acts up

This is useful :) I usually just give in and eat everything I want because I figure it's just for a day or two. As a matter of fact, I've had 1 and 1/2 donuts today AND 2 cupcakes. I'm such a weakling :(

Hmmm, I just hit a 35lb loss and the hubby and I are spending the night at the beach :) Hadn't really planned on that counting as a 'reward' but I guess it qualifies.

If my husband ever slows down to where I am running, he always tries to give me water and asks if I need to walk for a minute. I tell him I'm fine, I always sound like an obese buffalo having a heart attack when I run.

Lately I want eggs. My favorite weekend lunch for the past month has been a fried egg on whole wheat sandwich thins with a jalapeno cheese wede spread on it. I like eggs, but not usually to the point where I want them every day, go fig.

Run 4 miles that morning! This also helps me relax as I get stressed out being trapped in the house with all of my relatives and in-laws ;)
