  • Hi! Feel free to add me. I love creating a tribe. I have been in and out of MFP. I love it as a tool but need to create a better habit of using it. I did the Optavia program 5 years ago. I lost 70lbs and have kept it off for 5 years. That program taught me how to eat 6 small meals a day to balance my blood sugars (I was…
  • I have several clients who are over 50 and were able to lose weight by eating 6 small meals a day and balancing their blood sugar. They also made sure that they drank lots of water, got enough sleep, watched their stress level- etc. The other thing they did was focus more on strength training than on cardio.
  • Feel free to add me too! I know its always better when you have a tribe cheering for you. I lost 70lbs and I could not have done it without my people
  • Just requested to join. Reading the best book. It's Called 100 Way's To Motivate Yourself". Quick and easy read. Just thought I would pass it along for those who need a little kick in the pants!

  • When I got to maintenance my calorie intake was 1800 a day and that included exercise 4-5 days a week.
  • Congratulations! Its an awesome program! I was able to lose 75lbs and keep it off for more than 2 years. I am going to send you some tips.
  • Actually, having more energy is the biggest sign that you are in Ketosis. Its not the vitamins in the food that is giving you the extra energy (although those are GREAT). When your body goes into a strong state of Ketosis it turns on you fat stores instead of your glycogen stores to burn energy and fat is a GREAT source of…
  • Dont you hate having to learn things twice! I am currently at goal weight but I did take a break in the middle of my program, gain 10 and then get back on and finish. Well, I guess your never really finished. The toughest part for me starts in maintenance. I'm a "pro" . Feel free to reach out if you have any questions and…
  • Also, there are other brands that you may tolerate better. I have trouble with the medifast fish out too. I use one that is meant for pregnant women (and Im not pre go) because its easier on the stomach
  • You can do this! Always inspired by these. Thought I would share! http://pinterest.com/HeathCoach/healthy-happy-clients/ Enjoy!
  • I love making a taco salad with 98% fat free ground turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, low fat cheddar, mushrooms and salsa. Its a HUGE meal.
  • There will be foods that you love and foods that you HATE. Just like going to the grocery store. I love the brownies, chewy bars, crunch bars, chai late, hot chocolate, sloppy joe, pancakes, muffins, most shakes that don't taste like fruit. and lots more. I agree with you about the baked ziti. I hate the eggs and mac and…
  • I am Hypothyroid and lost 70lbs on Take Shape For Life. Its the only thing that worked for me. there were some small tweaks I had to make because of my thyroid but totally doable.
  • Is menopause different for women with hypothyroid? Not looking forward to it
  • Yes! Lower carb and lots of awesome veggies. Synthroid was not a magic pill
  • Your right. Meal replacements do not teach you how to eat properly. The support and health coaching Take Shape For Life is what teaches you that. I lost my weight with a health coach 3 years ago. I learned not only how to eat properly but also how to take care of my body. The support and curriculum were key in maintaining…
  • Send me a friend request. The program works. It's wonderful. If your looking for support we are doing a Health Challenge. There are literally THOUSANDS of clients playing. Let me know if you want more info https://www.facebook.com/events/1587931178102671/
  • I know what you mean. Its hard to believe I get that many steps in. There are days I stay at home and in pajamas and I always get 10,000 steps at least!

  • My clients experience this all the time! They are terrified. If you "change" that means that your relationship with them might "change" too. The bottom line is they care about you and don't want to lose you. They just need time to learn that they can have a relationship with the new you and you wont judge them for their…
  • I will not pretend to be an expert but in my own personal experience, my body will not release weight if I am not taking care of myself in other ways. If I am sleep deprived I cannot lose weight. If I am not drinking enough water I cannot lose weight. If I am not managing my stress levels I cannot lose weight. It does not…

  • I did it and had great success. I lost 70lbs and have kept it off for over tow years. It's true what the others said. If you use the meal replacements and then go back to your old eating habits you will gain t all back and more. If you take the time to get to the bottom of why you got to an unhealthy weight in the first…

  • Keep your lean and green interesting. It's the only meal you get to create yourself. Start working on the lifestyle changes that you will need in order to keep your weight off. I lost 70lbs. I did it on the 5 & 1. I learned absolutely nothing from eating meal replacements. I did the internal work to change from the inside…
  • Feel free to friend me. I used the 5 &1 and lost 70lbs and then used the Habits Of Health to keep it off for over 2 years! Just follow the program. Let me know if you need extra support. There s a lot of online resources! Jennifer
  • Sure! I will Message you al of the details.
  • I did it. Its awesome. I lost over 70lbs and have kept it off for more than two years. I learned so much about myself. My eating habits. And how to take care of my body on that program. Its much deeper than just eating medically formulated meal replacements.
  • It couldn't be easier! If you just follow the plan as is. You'll get to your goals. I was able to lose 70lbs and I have kept it off for two years! I have a great private Facebook group for clients if your still looking for a group.
