The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan. I just finished this. LOVED it and can't wait to read the next book in the trilogy. Here's the synopsis from FantasticFiction: The visionary creator of the Academy Award-winning Pan's Labyrinth and a Hammett Award-winning author bring their imaginations to this bold, epic…

do it!! You'll have fun and get some great exercise in and bond with your co-workers. Run or walk or a combo, races are always a lot of fun.

LOVED the C25K program. I admit it, I still struggle with running as I am not a natural-born runner. But I love the feeling I get when I am all done. The trick for me in the c25k is mind over matter. You want to stop; your body is tired. Do your best not to stop unless you're in real pain. Just push through those rough…

To the cooking challenged, where's the recipe for the key lime chicken so I can pass it on to my husband to make for me?

I am finally in my "healthy" BMI!!! I am now 163.5 lbs. Last week I think I weighed in at 167 (which was a one-pound gain. So this loss was unexpected, but I ain't complaining!! This week and next week, I will be super busy at work. So I hope I don't throw exercise to the back burner in order to complete my work. Great job…

Crappers!! Sorry I forgot to check in: weighed in at 165 even today.

I'll join you and post.

Agree with Mel. It may be easier to keep track with one thread going for the duration. This week is not going quite as planned. I've done two of my three runs. I was planning on doing a 5k at lunch, forgetting that I have a dental appointment at lunch. So I'm going to try to sqeeze it in this weekend (my sister is here…

Wow! I'm so impressed! Keep up the great work, everyone!!! PS... GO TEMP BON TEMPS!!! WOO HOOOOOOO

no gain/no loss. :(

call your doc. If you're hobbling around on it, then it's time to see your PCP. They may order a round of physical therapy since you're saying it's not resolving. that's my two cents.

Great job! Keep up the good work! I, like you, would only run if there was a zombie chasing me (which was never) until I found c25k this past January. It's a great program! Atta girl! :drinker:

OK. OK. OK. I'll take the pictures again. I'll have my husband take them, then maybe I won't have to look at them for a few months. thanks for the advice!

Goals for this week...... Yesterday, (monday) the whole family took a walk after breakfast for about 50 minutes and ended up at the park playing with my kidlets. Tuesday: RUN!!! I will run today at lunch. I'm kinda slow but hoping to make it to 2.5 miles. Wednesday: I'm hoping to check out the Zumba class at our rec center…

Lost the one pound I gained last week. Back to 165.5.

I haven't got too many plans this weekend. Just some R&R. I do have a run set for tomorrow a.m. with my neighbor. I think she's in a little better shape than I, so she'll help push me up those hills when I want to stop and walk. The buddy system works! I just don't push myself hard enough when it's just me running by…

Hi, ladies and (gents?), Totally in the mindset for this. During my lunchtime run, the last song on my ipod to push me thru? The theme from True Blood, Bad Things. I think that's a good sign, right?
-
I'm in!!! LOVE True Blood and the books. I'm ready to get twitterpated this season with Eric. Yum. This season was one of my favorite books in the series. Start weight today is 166.5. Looking forward to getting to know you all a lot better.:flowerforyou:

So last week I partied like it was the end of the world or something; I didn't even over-exert myself by exercising. So guess what happened? The world DIDN'T end and I gained a pound. Ah, so close to the "normal" BMI number I could taste it but alas I am now 2.5 lbs away. My official weigh-in is 166.5. SW was 170. I am in…

We've been talking about this for WEEKS at work. I'm not a believer so I guess I'll be here for the bbq at 7 p.m. Saturday with the devil  For those who want to join me, it's BOB (bring your own bottle). :drinker:

I'm still a new runner and was a bit freaked at people watching me, but in reality, they really aren't giving you more than a one to two second glance and they are on their way. Also, after having participated in a couple races since completing c25k, I can tell you that there are all sorts of different "styles" of running.…

bump for later!

Let me try my post again -- my "highspeed" internet connection at work has been sporadically working today. Fun! Anyway, here are my stats: SW: 170 CW 165.5 -- lost 2 lbs this week yea! Plus, I lost an inch off my tummy!
-
Thanks for all the tips, everyone! I'll be trying them out in the morning bright and early!
-
Lost another pound, which is amazing to me since I did diddly doo doo this past week. SW: 170 CW: 167.5 The goal will be to actually complete the challenges this week which I failed miserably last week doing.

horrible week this week as far as the h20 and the exercise. I've managed(the scale will tell me on Monday) I think to keep my food intake in check. I will be on the ball next week - promise. Unexpected chaos at work, sick kids, and ..... enough. I am over it. It's Friday and I'm only a little bitter that I have to work…
