  • I love it--however, of the six of her dvd's I have, it is by far the most difficult. You will get a great workout in, but I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner--it's better to start out with 30 Day Shred.
  • When I did it, I took two weeks for each level, with Sundays and Wednesdays off--believe me, it helps to have an occasional rest day in there. As far as the weights go, if I were you, I'd try to do as much as I could with weights, and finish whatever's left without them.
  • I log it as circuit training.
  • I often go for two weeks or more without seeing a loss. Then I get on the scale and suddenly I'm down three or four pounds. I wouldn't consider myself in a plateau unless I'd gone for at least a month without seeing a change. I've also noticed that even if I am not losing pounds, I am still losing inches. Take your…
  • I lost 14 pounds and 14.5" overall doing the shred 5 days a week (it took 6 weeks start to finish).
  • Target has yoga pants on sale for $10 through Jan. 5 (Saturday).
  • There are three options that came up when I typed in "moving" under exercise. You just need to choose which on was closest to what you were doing.
  • I got on the scale the day after Christmas to see how much I gained, but to my surprise, I lost a pound. Thinking it was a fluke, I got on the scale yesterday...lost another pound. Did the same thing today, and again lost another pound. I don't know how or why it happened, but I'll take it!
  • When I did it, I took two days a week off (usually Sunday and Thursday), so it ended up being two weeks on each level--taking six weeks total. It seemed to work pretty well.
  • You're in my prayers. Good luck.
  • Just finished. Lost 13lb. and 14.5" overall.
  • "If I woke up tomorrow morning with my head sewn to the carpet, I couldn't be more surprised than I am right now."
  • It's funny, I had a similar thing happen yesterday. I pulled down some old pants that haven't fit in at least three or four years, and tried them on--eight pairs fit! One pair was a little snug, but the rest fit nicely, and one or two were even a little loose. It is a great feeling.
  • I'm not sure if it's normal or not, but I caught three colds and some other flu-like bug in the first six weeks after I started my weight loss journey. In the two months since then, however, I've been totally healthy, even while everyone else around me has been sick. I think when you change your diet and/or exercise…
  • Pancakes with maple syrup and a slice of American cheese between each pancake.
  • I've been doing the 30DS on top of my normal workout. If you can handle it, go for it.
  • You might want to research carbs a little more, before cutting them out completely. In a nutshell, there are good carbs and bad carbs. Vegetables and whole grains are the good kind.
  • I'm getting over a head cold. I've been able to do it some days, but not as much as I'd like. By the time I finished on Friday, I felt like I was going to vomit--since I've never experienced anything close to this, even when I've worked out for a couple of hours, I took it as a sign that I need a break. I'm taking the…
  • Hi, I've lost 32 lbs. since Aug, but still have a long way to go. I got on the scale the day after Thanksgiving to see how much I'd gained, and was delighted to see I'd lost a pound. I'm going to work extra hard to lose more than 10 lbs. by Christmas, because I'm currently at 213, and it's my goal to be under 200 by New…
  • I'm halfway through level 2 and I've lost 7 lb. and 11 inches overall. I've also gone down two pants sizes. I was able to put on two different pairs of jeans this morning that I couldn't even pull all the way up two weeks ago. Very exciting!
  • Try taking measurements. I was frustrated earlier today when I realized I'd only lost 3 lb. in the last 3.5 weeks, but when I measured I realized I had lost 1.5" in each thigh, 2" on my waist, and 1" on my bust. Realizing I had lost inches, I decided to try on several pairs of jeans that didn't fit me two weeks ago (three…
  • I just watched a clip from the Jeff Probst show, and they showed a picture. She was kind of chunky in her early teens, but not grossly overweight.
  • I went on Jillian Michael's website to figure out mine when I first started. When I logged it on MFP as 20 min. circuit training and 5 min. stretching, it was only off by a few calories.
  • Here's some motivation for you... I started the Shred along with ripped in 30 last week--I'm doing both on top of my normal workouts, with two days off a week. Anyhow, Thursday was a day off, Friday and Saturday I did both (it was exhausting, but I muddled through it), and Sunday was a day off. I did both again this…
  • 30 Day Shred is a Jillian Michaels workout DVD. It's only about $10---and very worth the money.
  • Hi, I'm Robin. I started 30DS yesterday. It was hard, but not horrifying. I plan to take 1-2 days a week off, so, I'm glad I got an early start. Good luck to everybody.
  • I agree with you completely. This is my first post, and there probably won't be another one for a while. I use Facebook to socialize, and was under the impression that the forums on MFP were for help and support, not a b**** fest.
