Yup, these are TV shows. (Dr. Horrible is the only exception. It was produced for the Internet.) Edit: I suppose that Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is also an exception, since it was a direct-to-Netflix production. But I watch Netflix on my TV, so I think of it as TV show. :P

Hallo! I'm afraid that I don't have much in common with you. I'm a middle aged American lady who has been on MFP for a while and has no particular deadline for losing my weight. I'm always happy to have new pals, though, so feel free to add me if you'd like. My husband and I watched the Norwegian television program…

Woman: ✓ Under 50 lbs to lose: ✓ Started with MFP in 2012: ✓ I guess that I started with MFP probably right around the time that you left, but I've stuck with it daily since then and I'm approaching my four year anniversary. I am not childless. And, "I'm over 25, but you can trust me". (You'd need to be closer to my age to…

I followed a similar path as you (not adding friends immediately), but I only held out for thirty days. I wanted to prove to myself that I could stick with this thing before I added any pals, because I did not want to end up quitting and embarrassing myself. I remember posting a question or comment on the forum sometime in…

Hunger hormones change with eating patterns. If you usually eat two meals a day, you will be hungry twice a day. If you usually eat three times a day you'll be hungry three times a day. If you eat six meals a day you'll be hungry six times a day, and so on. Earlier in life, I used to not be hungry for breakfast and would…

How much biking do you do on average? In the grand scheme of things, how much of a difference will this one half-bike-ride make? If you are a once daily rider, we are talking about something that comprises less than 0.2% of your annual mileage, right? (1/365 = 0.00273972602 This is just absolute number of rides. We aren't…

G'day back to you. I'm not an Aussie bloke, but I'm happy to add one! I'd love to join you in your struggle to turn off the tv and the xbox. (How about switching it up for Pokemon Go?) I'm nearly 4 years into my life change and have lost around 40 pounds. Truthfully, my weight has been up, down and sideways over that time.…

Well, of course, I will be a fabulous, inspirational, kick *kitten* female friend! What else? I've been on MFP for nearly four years. I can't say that my weight has been on a consistently downward trajectory. I've been up, down and sideways. But I keep plugging along. That's pretty kick *kitten*, in my book! I'm always…

Who can turn down an offer of pleasantly obnoxious entertainment? I'd be happy to trip around the mulberry bush with you, if you'd like. I've been on MFP for nearly four years, but my weight has not been on a consistently downward trajectory. I've been up, down and sideways. But I keep plugging along.

Looking at the "Cize Dance Workout" website, the first DVD ("Crazy 8s") is listed as being 35 minutes long. I would imagine that the others are of a similar length. Why don't you try calling the ordering phone number to ask them about the length of each DVD?

Yes, I don't know how to do it in the app, but here's how to do it via the website: Click on the "My Home" tab, then click on "Settings", then click "Automatic Newsfeed Update Settings" and then uncheck the "I have lost weight" line item.

Congratulations on your accomplishment!

Anytime you have an increase in the amount of carbohydrate intake and sodium intake, above and beyond what you would normally average, then you are going to see a spike in your weight, especially if you have been limiting your carb intake prior to the splurge. When you eat fewer carbohydrates, your body ends up using up…

I love plain, baked sweet potatoes. They don't really need jazzing up. If you keep on trying them plain, hot or cold, you might come to find that you enjoy them that way. And, it will be less of a calorie hit than jazzed-up-sweet potatoes.

There's an app called Happy Scale that will plot the trend lines for you.

I'll second the recommendation for the Omron HJ-112. I bought mine several years ago and I recall it being inexpensive (around $20). However, I just looked at that model on Amazon and it is now selling for $70+. I'm not sure why there has been such a severe price hike, but I will say that if I lost mine, I would fork over…

Whatever you eat/do on one "bad day" does not matter too much in the long run. What matters is what you do day in and day out, over the long haul. If, over the long haul, you are eating more (even just a tiny bit more) than your maintenance calories, then you will gain weight over time. If, over the long haul, you are…

Or, you could just not constantly talk about your diet and your weight loss with her. You have to come to the realization that your weight loss struggles and progress are not nearly as interesting to other people as they are to you. You are in the throes of your own struggle, but other people have their struggles. Don't…

You have given your weight. What is your age and height, OP? You haven't provided enough information to determine if 2200 is more or less than an estimated TDEE (for age/height/weight).

Instant puddings likely contain mostly cornstarch or other thickeners, which do have calories (from carbohydrate). That is likely the source of the 25-40 calories per serving that you reference above.

Good for you!

Two tablespoons of unpopped kernels weigh 32g. Do you have a food scale? If so, then weigh the serving that you serve yourself (if it is less than the whole bag) and then you can enter the weight of the serving into MFP. So, let's say that you decide that you are only going to eat half the bag, then put your bowl on the…

This thread reads like a lot of threads where one person says they've "tried everything" but they can't lose weight no matter what they do. People respond and the OP raises an objection to every single suggestion, explaining why each suggestion won't work because of XYZ reason. @Francl27, If you reread this thread today, I…
